General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there may more than meets the eye when it comes to Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab). For starters, how exactly did Dev learn so much about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his “other business,” which he wants so badly to get into? Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) certainly wouldn’t have told Dev about the mob business. Neither would any of the WSB agents that he hung around and gave intel to occasionally.
Could Dev be older than he looks, perhaps a young-looking twenty-something? Is he even a Turkish orphaned street kid at all? Dev is definitely a thief and proud of it, but he could be more than that. It’s possible he’s a DVX plant or a mercenary.
Dev didn’t seem to be involved with Raj Patel’s (Noshir Dalal) organization, but mercenaries don’t have loyalties to specific people. They just go for the bucks and where they can get the most bang for them.
Shiloh Archer And Dev Cerci Knew Each Other In Afghanistan?
Some GH viewers think Dev might’ve been Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) secret accomplice. Shiloh called someone to break into Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) safe and steal the flash drive with the baseline of Drew’s memories. General Hospital fans know Dev definitely has the skills to pull that off.
Dev was also working at the Metro Court for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) at the time. He’d know the layout of the place and how to avoid detection. We should note that Shiloh mentioned he hadn’t talked to this person in a long time. If Dev is a lot older than he looks, Shiloh and Dev could’ve even known each other in Afghanistan.
If Dev and Shiloh are indeed connected, perhaps Shiloh was the source of Sonny’s mob info. GH watchers will recall that Shiloh’s father, Henry Archer, was one of Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) marks.
Shiloh Archer Had Stalked Sam McCall For Many Years
She needed to care for her special needs brother, Danny McCall (David Greenman), and that meant running cons. Sam married her marks and bilked them out of their money while she was trying to survive and give her brother the care he needed.
It was also revealed that Shiloh had stalked Sam for years, which means he could’ve been stalking her when she was involved with Sonny. That also means Shiloh may have found out about Sonny’s mob business as well as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Drew’s twin! It’s an option to consider as we ponder how and why Dev’s so obsessed with going to work for Sonny.
