General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew Cain (Billy Miller) will head down a new path. He recently talked to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about a deal he’s got cooking. Drew expects some serious cash flow soon, so there’s a good chance he’s selling Aurora. Since Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) is sticking around, it seems likely he’ll take over the company.
Where does that leave Drew? What’s next for this lost and struggling character? Drew may want to take some time for himself as he works through his grief. Unfortunately, any peaceful plans may be derailed by Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin).
When Dr. Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) showed up at the Dawn of Day house, she was adamant about her reason for being there. Kim only wanted to talk about Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt); she wasn’t in the mood for Shiloh’s spiritual guidance. However, her chat with Shiloh clearly affected her. It may not be long until Kim becomes a DoD member, and that’s just not going to work for suspicious Drew.
Of course, Shiloh often speaks highly of Drew and the fact that he saved his life all those years ago. Drew could be Shiloh’s Achilles heel, so there are some great story opportunities here. Finally getting his memories back is one of them. General Hospital spoilers say those memories could be vital to Shiloh’s comeuppance, so perhaps Drew will form a scheme to trick his former friend.
Despite Shiloh’s charm and ability to deceive others, he’s easily deceived himself. After all, he’s letting Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) dupe him and he knows all about her history as a con artist. Shiloh’s own family was affected by it, so it seems like a mistake to have Shiloh be this stupid. Nevertheless, cult leaders’ egos can sometimes prevent them from seeing their own weaknesses.
Drew may be crucial in bringing Shiloh down, but what about after that? His grief and memory retrieval could leave his character at a crossroads. General Hospital spoilers point to more casting shakeups at one soap. That could be GH, so we have to wonder what Drew’s long-term future will look like.
It’s possible General Hospital will use Drew’s memories to open up a whole new world of story options. They could bring in other love interests based on Drew’s past or explore buried secrets and unfinished business. There’d be a lot of interesting places to take the character.
Then again, Drew could decide to do all that offscreen. He could leave to truly find himself after getting memory closure. Drew might be sent off canvas to retrace his steps and uncover more about his history.
