General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the ABC soap recently released a new promo featuring their newest cast member. When the masked man removed his mask in Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) gallery, everyone got their first look at Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) new face. Some fans felt it was a bit jarring to see a younger Nikolas, but Coloma is 41. It’s not like he belongs with the teen scene or anything.
Coloma’s got a youthful look and energy about him, but that could be a good thing! Once his version of Nikolas spoke his full name to Ava, many viewers were sold right away. Coloma arguably has what it takes to pull off that Cassadine swagger. And when he came out in that tuxedo later? Swoon! Coloma is adding some real eye candy to GH, and plenty of General Hospital watchers can get behind that.
Coloma is certainly eager to continue Nikolas’ story and let fans see what’s in next for the character. In the new promo, Coloma introduced himself to everyone and teased the hot drama ahead. He also had high praise for his costars and the viewers who keep General Hospital alive.
“I feel so honored and humbled to be part of this world,” Coloma said. “It’s fantastic what the writers have been doing. All the actors are just incredibly talented, and the fans are the most passionate fans I have ever seen. And I’m really looking forward to you guys seeing what we have coming up, so keep watching!”
Coloma seems genuinely excited to have scored the role, and enthusiasm’s always nice to see. He seems like the kind of actor who will put some heart into his character. GH watchers quickly sent supportive replies to the sweet video. One fan tweeted, “I’ll miss Tyler Christopher but I’m going to give this new guy a chance , he’s got dark moody eyes like the Cassidines & I’m excited Nik is back ….period !!”
Another viewer insisted, “Good luck dude, you are a great choice for Nikolas!” “Welcome to #GH!!” one more fan exclaimed. “You certainly have the right look, demeanor and charm of a Cassadine! I’m looking forward to watching you play this role!”
