General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) recent move may have helped more than she knows. When “Drew Cain” aka Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) stopped by Liz’s place, he revealed that he was leaving town with Kim Nero (Tamara Braun). That obviously wasn’t the news Liz and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) wanted to hear.
Despite the tough blow, “Drew” was adamant that he didn’t want to hurt anyone. He assured Liz that she didn’t deserve this, but she pointed out that Franco didn’t deserve it either. In a moment of desperation, Liz planted a passionate kiss and urged Franco to come back to her. She looked in “Drew’s” eyes and begged, but he argued that Franco was gone.
Of course, General Hospital fans know that’s not true! The real Franco is certainly in there somewhere. It’s just a matter of drawing him out – and Liz’s kiss could be a step in the right direction. Aiden Webber’s (Jason David) visit with “Drew” seemed to affect him as well. The same goes for Cameron’s testimony in court.
Although “Drew” doesn’t remember Liz and her family, he’s becoming more sympathetic to them every day. When you combine that with Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) revelations about Franco’s past and continued efforts to win “Drew” over, Franco’s on the verge of coming back. This all seems to be building to a difficult choice, which should break Kim’s heart.
General Hospital spoilers say Franco seems set to voluntarily sign up for the memory procedure in hopes of keeping Franco’s promise. Sadly, there’s a good chance the result of the procedure won’t be what Liz was hoping for. Franco’s “Drew” memories may intensify since that was one of the options Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) presented. It’s doubtful GH would’ve offered this odd outcome if it wasn’t going to happen.
On the bright side, the procedure could still affect Franco’s memories – even if it takes a little time. “Drew” may find himself replaying that kiss and battling oddly familiar feelings. He could be drawn to Liz and might be willing to give their romance another try. It’d be fun to watch “Drew” fall for Liz before Franco even comes back. It’d prove just how strong Liz and Franco’s connection is.
Whatever the case, that kiss Liz went after may not have meant much in the moment, but it could mean a whole lot as time goes on. This could easily set up Franco’s resurfacing love for Liz.
