General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, July 5, tease that the drama’s about to heat up. We should note that there’ll be a repeat episode for the Fourth of July, but GH will get right back in the action with a brand-new episode on Friday. Several Port Charles residents will be facing tough battles, so let’s dive right in.
For starters, Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) will get a warning from his attorney. Zahra Amir (Maysoon Zayid) will think they have to be smart about their next steps. It looks like Shiloh will express a little too much interest in Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) for Zahra’s taste. She’ll wonder if Shiloh’s goal is to reclaim his child or the boy’s mother.
Zahra may suggest Shiloh needs to focus on “Wiley Cooper-Jones” if he wants to win the war. Meanwhile, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will do some undercover work in Beechers Corners. She’ll head to the same diner that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) found Carol Lockhart (Mandy Musgrave) in. Sam will have a uniform on as she declares that she’s a waitress there now, so we’ll see if she can score the statement she needs.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will pay Harmony Miller (Inga Rademacher) a visit in prison. He’ll insist that Harmony owes Willow the truth about how her father died. Jason may hope to exploit whatever love Harmony might feel for Willow. There must be some deep down, so they can use that to their advantage if Harmony cooperates.
Of course, getting Harmony to testify against Shiloh won’t be an easy task, but it might be the best angle to work right now. Elsewhere, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will talk to Brick (Stephen A. Smith) about securing protection for a friend. He’ll count on Brick to keep Dev (Ashton Arbab) safe and help him sell this cousin story he’s cooked up.
Speaking of Dev, he’ll get grilled by Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) in Friday’s GH episode, July 5. Trina will wonder what Dev did to make Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) mad, so Dev will explain their very different views on the afterlife. Joss is convinced that Oscar Nero Quartermaine’s (Garren Stitt) spirit is still out there, but Dev believes the dead are gone forever.
Fortunately, Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) chat with Josslyn seemed to help. The tension should continue to lift between Joss and Dev in the coming episodes. Unfortunately, there’ll be some awkwardness between Joss and Cameron Webber (William Lipton). She was stunned when Cam asked her to attend the wedding reception with him. If Josslyn rejects the invitation, that could certainly make things uncomfortable.
Across town, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) will push Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) to help. She really wants to reconnect with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), who just infuriated the doc by revealing she knows about his dead daughter. Kristina will insist that if she doesn’t say this now, she’s afraid she never will.
It seems Kristina may have gathered up the courage to share what was in her pledge. She might feel like it’s the only true path forward at this point. Regardless, Neil will likely cave in and do a joint session for them. With any luck, Alexis and Kristina can indeed form a stronger bond.
