General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that one ABC soap star has scored a new gig. GH fans know Risa Dorken as the lovable Amy Driscoll in Port Charles, but the actress has filmed a prime-time role that’s set to air this week. Dorken will play Elle in an upcoming episode of Life In Pieces on CBS.
The name of this episode is “Four Short Fairy Tales,” so it sounds like a fun one. You can catch Dorken’s appearance on June 13 at 9:30 p.m. ET. General Hospital fans may want to check it out and see Dorken take on a different character.
Dorken recently mentioned the gig on Twitter and shared her excitement. She tweeted, “I’m thrilled to be Guest Starring on @lifeinpiecescbs this Thursday at 9:30/8:30c on CBS! Thank…you to Juel & Stephanie, Jason, and my Talentworks team for the opportunity—I had the best time. Be sure to tune in or set your DVRs.”
Support From Risa’s Fans And Costars
Naturally, Dorken got plenty of support from both GH watchers and her costars. “Yay!! Congrats and can’t wait to watch,” Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma Scorpio-Drake) said. Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois) also offered some kids words. “Congratulations Risa!” the GH star exclaimed.
GH fans who also happen to be fans of Life in Pieces were particularly pumped. “Love this show.. can’t wait to see you,” one General Hospital viewer said. Another fan gushed, “Yay!! Our favorite prime time show! We’ll be looking for you, our favorite GH nurse!”
General Hospital spoilers don’t point to any big story opportunities for Dorken at the moment, but let’s hope she’ll get some good scenes down the road.
General Hospital Needs A Driscoll Family Reunion
It’d be nice to see Amy interacting with Chet Driscoll (Chris Van Etten) again. Her brother was featured a while back when he was flirting with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), but GH needs to have a little family reunion at some point.
Regardless, it’s great that Dorken’s finding work outside of General Hospital. She’s got a bright and bubbly onscreen persona as Amy, so it’ll be interesting to see how her role on Life in Pieces compares.
