General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) will raise suspicions – but not about her main mission with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher).
GH fans know Hayden and Jax are working hard to track down the codicil to Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) will, but that’s not what will trip Hayden up. Her problem will be a far more personal one.
Hayden lied about having a miscarriage, so now she’s got a young daughter to hide from Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Naturally, that won’t remain a buried secret forever. General Hospital spoilers say Finn will begin to have some concerns this fall. Hayden’s presence will make Finn uncomfortable as their bond grows stronger.
Hamilton Finn Is Committed To Marrying Anna Devane
Since he’s committed to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), it’s easy to see why Finn’s lingering connection to Hayden will be an issue. Finn will try to ignore what he’s feeling, but he won’t be able to ignore his questions. He’ll start to sense that there must be more to Hayden’s agenda. Finn will suspect Hayden is hiding something that might involve him significantly, so it’ll be interesting to see why he believes that.
Eavesdropping is one way for Finn to catch on. He could easily overhear Hayden on the phone with their little girl and wonder what’s up. Finn already caught Hayden with a picture made using finger paint. She claimed Aiden Webber (Jason David) did it, which led Finn to point out Aiden was a bit old for finger painting. Hayden brushed it off by suggesting she’s just not good with kids.
Of course, Hayden seems like a decent mother – other than the fact that she’s apparently abandoned her kid for this project with Jax! Even so, Hayden knows more about raising children than she’s letting on. She could have to explain herself if she’s caught in “Mom mode” while on a call with her daughter.
Will Hamilton Finn Suspect Hayden Barnes Is Keeping Secrets?
Finn and Hayden’s bond alone could help Finn out. He may just feel that something’s off. Finn’s instincts are excellent when the story calls for it, so he may know Hayden well enough to sense that she’s keeping secrets. He may not be able to pinpoint evidence initially, but his gut may tell him Hayden isn’t being forthcoming about her situation and how he fits in.
That could lead Finn to confront Hayden and eventually do some digging if need be. Perhaps Anna could even get in on this sooner or later. Wouldn’t it be something if Anna was the one to find out the truth? She could drop quite the daughter bomb on her fiancé!
