General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) fans are wondering if Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) might have a change of heart. Will Jason view Franco differently now that he has Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories? Should losing his own memories erase the pain Franco caused?
Franco Is Still Franco
Of course, Franco is still Franco. He has Drew’s memories now, but it doesn’t change what he’s done. Just like the brain tumor defense, it doesn’t erase the hurt Franco caused or the lives he took. Saving Cameron Webber (William Lipton) was the right thing to do, but his sacrifice for Cam’s sake can’t fix his dark deeds – like being instrumental in Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) rape.
Nothing Franco’s done is ever going to erase his past with some fans regardless. At this point in the GH story though, Franco has forgotten his victims. He has a chance at a fresh start in his own mind, but Jason won’t have the same perspective.
Drew Is Still The War Hero
As for Drew, he’s still the war hero. Franco remembers going to war, but that doesn’t mean he lived it. This is similar to Drew’s situation since he remembers being Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but he clearly isn’t. Franco could still be helpful now since he now knows about Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) past crimes, but he wasn’t responsible for Drew’s acts of valor years ago.
In other words, Drew’s heroism won’t matter to Jason as far as Franco’s concerned. Nothing’s changed except Franco’s own perception of himself. General Hospital fans know Jason and Drew haven’t exactly been best buds either, so it’s not like Franco’s Drew is someone he’d really warm to.
Jason Doesn’t Know Drew The Navy SEAL
Jason doesn’t know Drew very well at all. Drew, the Navy SEAL, is bound to be judgmental toward Jason, which could bring some clashing. If Jason couldn’t get along with a quirky and remorseful Franco, he’s not going to get along with a cold and critical one.
General Hospital spoilers say Jason will indeed pay Franco’s Drew a visit next week, August 19-23, but don’t expect it to be a friendly one. He may try to keep it civil, but there are no guarantees!
