General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one ABC soap star has been hard at work on an exciting project. GH alum Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky Spencer) has a new album coming out, and it looks like it’s been a real labor of love. Jackson has a band with his brother, Richard Lee Jackson, as well as Jonathan Thatcher. The trio came together to form Evation in 2003, which has alternative sound they call “post-punk.”
The last time Evation released new music was back in 2017, so their fans are eager to hear more from them. Thankfully, the wait is almost over. Jackson was thrilled to announce their upcoming album on Instagram and offer everyone an explanation of what to expect. It’s clear that Jackson loves making music and sharing it with the world.
“I’m really excited to share with you all of the music that we have been quietly making over the last couple of years,” Jackson said. “Our new Jonathan Jackson + Enation album, Ultraviolet Empire, is coming out this fall!” He included a pic that his brother took of him jamming at the Sound Emporium in Nashville.
In another post, Jackson talked about the music on this album and what it was like to make it. “Our new album, Ultraviolet Empire, is a throwback record,” Jackson said. “It’s a record we played together live in the studio. Most of the songs are one take – just letting the band play. It was amazing playing with our co-producer Colin Linden and capturing something so raw and visceral.”
Jackson shared the news on Twitter as well and got some positive replies from General Hospital viewers. One fan gushed, “This sounds so cool! It is going to have such an authentic sound that albums don’t really have anymore bc they’re so digitized. I look forward to hearing them!!”
Another fan said, “The buzz of a live performance but in a studio setting. I.Cannot.Wait. So enjoying the teasers; keep ’em coming! Big hugs to you and yours.” If you’re missing Jackson as Lucky and curious about what else he’s been up to, this album will certainly be worth checking out.
