General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that yet another ABC soap star has suffered an injury. Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos), Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine) and Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) all made it on the injured list over the past few months, but now we can add Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones). She recently revealed an accident on her Instagram account and showed off the damage.
It turns out Storms was just trying to have some fun on a Slip ‘N Slide when things went awry. She hit a snag and hurt her hand as a result. Thankfully, the injury wasn’t serious. “Always a good idea to make sure there are no sprinkler heads underneath the Slip and Slide before takeoff. NBD – no broken bones, just a very swollen and partially black hand.”
Storms is wearing a hand brace in her latest photo, but she hasn’t let that stop her from doing one of her favorite hobbies. If you keep up with Storms on social media, you know that she’s quite fond of knitting. Storms and her real-life bestie, Emme Rylan (Lulu Spencer), often enjoy hanging out and knitting together. They’ve been working on a summer project and have encouraged GH fans to knit along with them, so this is a bit of a hurdle.
However, Storm assured everyone she was down but not out. She admitted she’s already been trying to knit a little, but the process takes longer than she would like and isn’t exactly pain-free. “@emmerylan has already seen me try to knit like this…it wasn’t cute and was excruciatingly slow (ok ok and also painful),” Storms said.
Even so, Storms intends to press on whenever she can. She’s got a cardigan to finish, so she’s not giving up! Storms wrapped up her post with a funny story about the aftermath of her injury. Her doctor’s warning brought a question he never expected, so Storms was amused by his reaction.
“Side note: I wish I had a picture of the Orthopedic doctor’s face after he told me not to be using my left hand and I very seriously asked him if that also meant no knitting,” Storms said “It was Instagram worthy.” Plenty of General Hospital viewers have reached out to Storms as she recovers from the mishap. It’s terrible to hear about any kind of injury, but the good news is it wasn’t catastrophic.
