General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will soon have some news to impart on Port Charles…they’re going to welcome a new baby into the Corinthos clan. And while everyone may be surprised by the unexpected news, they will wish them well and hope for a happy, healthy pregnancy for Carly.
That is, almost everyone. There may be someone who finds herself bitten by the jealousy bug, and that’s Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson). It’s been a while since we’ve seen Sonny and Margaux interact at length on-screen, but it’s clear that there’s some sort of spark between them.
Sonny really softened toward Margaux after it was revealed that her own mother was responsible for instigating her father’s death all those years ago. He took pity on her, and from that moment he seemed to begin a slow smoldering attraction toward her. But Carly has noticed the attraction, and she’s keeping a keen eye on Sonny.
One has to wonder how Margaux will react to Carly’s pregnancy news. We’re guessing she might be a bit jealous when she hears the news. Deep down, it seems that Margaux has a thing for Sonny, even though she might not readily admit it to herself. But when she hears that Carly’s pregnant, it might stir up some jealousy in her.
It seems that Margaux may be at that point in her life where she’s searching for something. After all, she did have a Dawn of Day book in her briefcase the other day. She might be trying to sort out her feelings for Sonny and realize her own place in the world, and the news that Sonny’s having another child with Carly could send her reeling.
In fact, the news could signal to Margaux that she really has no future with Sonny, so she might even go back to persecuting him with her own version of justice. She might become determined again to take him down.
