General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, December 23, teases that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will make a major daddy blunder. He’ll nearly spill the beans about Santa Claus! It looks like Finn will go on and on about how Santa isn’t real – only to realize Violet Barnes (Jophielle Love) happens to be standing nearby.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will immediately do damage control. She’ll fish to find out how much Violet overheard, which thankfully won’t be much. Once Anna is satisfied, she’ll return to Finn and let him know all is well. Anna will suggest that Violet didn’t hear Daddy’s doubts, but she still took precautions and insisted Santa only visits children who believe.
Finn will be glad he didn’t destroy Violet’s Christmas dreams, but he’ll have to be more careful! Anna will think Finn really has to start setting an example for his daughter. She’ll urge Finn to open his heart to the spirit of the season. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will also be in the holiday spirit as everyone gathers at GH. She’ll feel like they should all put differences aside and spread goodwill.
General Hospital spoilers say Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will be back this Monday, so that’ll be another reason to tune in. We should note that this will be a special Finn-centric episode – at least for the most part. Finn’s “Santa isn’t real” gaffe will leave Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) thinking he’s a real Scrooge! It turns out Finn will transform into Ebenezer Scrooge soon after.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will head off to retrieve a book for Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) to read. She’ll be pleased when Michael selects A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Monica will warn the kids at GH that some parts may be a little scary, but they’ll assure her they can handle it. Finn, on the other hand, could find himself terrified as his mind drifts into a nightmare.
General Hospital spoilers say Finn will awaken as Scrooge – and Liesl will apparently serve as the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) will sport some older-looking clothes as he says, “Merry Christmas, sir.” It looks like we’ve found our Bob Cratchit! Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and her boys will serve as the rest of the Cratchit crew – including Aiden Webber (Jason David), who’ll serve as Tiny Tim.
GH fans know Finn can be a bit of a party pooper sometimes, but he’ll go to the extreme as Scrooge. Fortunately, General Hospital should take him from bah humbug to holly jolly by the end of the episode. Finn will even fall into an open grave at one point, but he’ll eventually learn to embrace Christmas and all it has to offer.
