General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) will soon be gearing up for her parole hearing. As GH viewers know, she has been incarcerated for about a year after getting caught conspiring with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to kill Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Of course, Chase was working undercover and totally duped Nelle, and she promptly landed in jail.
Well, now Nelle’s parole hearing is coming up, and she’s got some expert legal assistance in the form of attorney Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight). She was able to persuade Martin to take her case, and now she’s really looking forward to the hearing. Knowing Nelle, she’s probably got a compelling story put together about how this past year in prison has really made her think about what she did and repent for her actions.
Of course, GH viewers know that in reality, Nelle is anything but sincere, but she’ll put on a good show for the parole board. It appears that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) will attend the hearing in support of his friend, but he’ll probably have a lot on his mind. After all, if Nelle ends up being released on parole, then she’ll probably want to spend time around her son, who is currently in Brad and Lucas Jones’ (Ryan Carnes) possession.
Brad’s no doubt keenly aware of this, and he’ll probably be on pins and needles wondering whether there’s really a chance that Nelle could be released and then want to reconnect with Wiley Cooper-Jones (Theo and Erik Olson), who’s really her son Jonah Corinthos. GH buzz says that this could get tricky for Brad, who would have to arrange clandestine visits between Nelle and Wiley. Luckily for him, though, Nelle would probably want to leave Wiley in Brad and Lucas’ home, since she wouldn’t want Michael to know that he’s really Jonah.
Well, it looks like Martin will work his magic with parole board, since General Hospital spoilers indicate that Nelle will be released on parole. But where will she go from there? She won’t have any friends or family to turn to, other than Brad, and there will only be so much he can do for her, given his need to keep his relationship with her quiet.
One thing’s for sure, there will certainly be a lot of people who will be upset by Nelle’s release from prison. Michael will probably be beside himself, and he won’t want Nelle anywhere near him or Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), let alone his family. And then there’s Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), who just had a baby of her own and won’t want dangerous Nelle running around Port Charles a free woman.
It will be interesting to see what kind of trouble Nelle will cause for everyone – especially for Brad. Could we see a baby switch reveal finally on the horizon? Once Nelle gets settled into her new life, however that goes down, she just might want her son with her, which could be a total game-changer for Brad.
