General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will feel like he’s on the verge of having it all. Now that Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) back to normal, that’s one less thing for Peter to worry about. Peter doesn’t have to fear that “Drew Cain” will expose the extent of his memory-mapping involvement, so he’ll start to lower his guard a bit.
That could be a bad call since suspicions about Peter are still revving up. Peter doesn’t realize that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has uncovered a crucial link. She found out Peter and the gunman he killed were at EuroTech, a company that served as a front for the DVX, at the same time.
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will push Anna to keep digging with Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) help. He’ll sense that more lives could be lost if Anna doesn’t act on what she knows. However, Anna will be torn between her head and her heart. It’ll be tough for her to truly open her eyes and see the truth about Peter.
Finn will grow increasingly curious about Peter’s secrets. He won’t want Anna in any kind of jeopardy, so he’ll end up turning to Robert for help. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will also be heavily involved in some Peter takedown efforts in 2020. It sounds like quite a team will be assembling, but Peter may remain blissfully unaware.
GH fans know Peter’s on cloud nine with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and is starting to believe his past is behind him. He wants to build a family and a bright future with Maxie. Peter’s thrilled to be in James West’s life and intends to stay right by Maxie’s side forever. They recently moved in together, but it makes sense for Peter to go ahead and take the next step here.
Since Peter will believe he’s on the verge of his happily ever after, that could easily point to a proposal. Peter may decide there’s no need to wait now. He might feel like all his tracks have been covered and all his threats have been eliminated. General Hospital will surely want an engagement in the new year, so it’s reasonable to think Peter will get down on one knee and ask Maxie to marry him.
Of course, this sounds like something Peter would do right before his sinister secrets are uncovered. With Finn, Robert, Jason and ultimately Anna working against him, Peter’s definitely going down!
