General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) situation just keeps getting worse. Bryce Henderson (Brian Gross) was murdered by Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), so he obviously can’t help Sam from beyond the grave. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) assured Sam that he’d figure out another strategy, but it’s easy to see she’s scared.
Now Sam’s facing two more problems at Pentonville. The guard mentioned Sam’s cellmate, who was placed in solitary after a violent incident. However, the assured Sam that they’d have plenty of time to get to know each other. The guard added, “After all, every day is a new dawn.” Uh-oh. Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) is just the terrible gift that keeps on giving, isn’t he?
The guard is apparently a devoted Dawnie, which makes sense considering Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) won her over. Nelle admitted she read Shiloh’s book, but she thought it was total garbage. She’s manipulated enough people to know someone else’s manipulation looks like. Even so, Nelle probably repeated all the right mantras and Shiloh sentiments to earn the guard’s approval.
That brings us to the topic of Sam’s cellmate. Will this woman be someone GH fans have met before? Nelle and Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) were locked up together the last time we saw them. Unless Nelle flew off the handle after being denied parole, she probably wasn’t sent to solitary. It’d work out better for Nelle to keep pretending she’s reformed and plot an escape.
There’s some General Hospital buzz that suggests Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) may be Sam’s cellmate instead. Cassandra is certainly capable of violence and would probably enjoy some time in solitary to be honest. It’d also be interesting to have Cassandra’s story overlap with Sam’s. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) put Cassandra on notice, so she’d have to decide whether to retaliate or perhaps make Sam an ally.
Maybe Cassandra could pitch an idea to help each other. That DoD guard presents some issues, too. Other guards and inmates could be devoted Shiloh followers, especially since his book’s available there. How long will Sam last at Pentonville with them around? She could easily be targeted for killing their beloved leader.
The best solution is to team up with a force that’s just as dark, and Cassandra fits the bill. There’s been a lot of talk about Ryan and Nelle escaping, but we can’t rule out a Sam and Cassandra getaway. If Sam feels that’s the only tactic to stay alive, perhaps that’s the route she’ll take – at least until Jason can figure something else out.
