General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, September 5 Review - Drew’s Jet Goes Missing - Peter Tries To Kill Andre

General Hospital (GH) spoilers review for Thursday, September 5, reveals that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) spoke menacingly to an unconscious Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Washington) in his hospital room. Peter told Andre that he shouldn’t have come back and wondered aloud, “what am I supposed to do with you?” Peter then decided to tamper with Andre’s medical equipment, but at that moment one of the machines started beeping and Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) and a doctor rushed into the room.

With Peter lurking out in the hallway, Andre stabilized and regained consciousness. He was eager to talk and told Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), Mac Scorpio (John J. York), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that someone tried to kill him. Specifically, he was working with a humanitarian group in Ethiopia when Drew Cain (Billy Miller) found him and told him about everything happening with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). He agreed to come and examine Franco to try to reverse the memory transfer procedure.

Andre went on to explain that Drew drove him to the airport and put him on the first fight back to the US, and Drew went on to Afghanistan in his private jet. When Andre returned to the US, a driver met him to take him back to GH, but the driver ended up pulling into an alley and pulling a knife on him. Andre tried to run, but the driver caught up with him and stabbed him. Andre then drove himself to the ER and that’s the last thing he remembers.

Everyone Begins To Worry That Drew Cain Hasn’t Checked In

Andre was worried about Drew, and given the timing of everything, Jason, Mac, and Jordan deduced that Drew should have checked in by now. Jordan worried that none of these details bodes well for Drew. Later, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) showed up at the hospital and learned about the situation involving Andre and Drew.

Sam then made a couple calls to the company that runs Drew’s private jet service, to determine whether his flight from Ethiopia to Afghanistan had landed, and she found out that Drew’s flight never arrived in Afghanistan and simply disappeared off the radar. Of course, what this means for Drew at this point is unclear, but it’s not looking good for a Drew survival situation.

Meanwhile, on Thursday’s episode of GH, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) let it be known to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) that he’d be running some more tests on all parties who came into contact with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Obrecht noted that the tests involved identifying DNA, which worried Valentin, since those tests could reveal that Sasha really isn’t Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter.

Sonny Corinthos’ Shocks Carly Corinthos With Adoption Idea

Valentin and Obrecht then discussed, and Obrecht decided that she could do something to help, so she sought out Brad Cooper (Parry Shen). Brad was not happy at all to see Obrecht, but Obrecht insisted that they talk and she explained that Nina’s family was going to be getting some genetic testing done and that Brad was going to make sure that Nina and Sasha’s DNA matched.

Brad balked at the idea, as he didn’t want to break any more laws, and he stated that he was done and wouldn’t do it. But Obrecht threatened him, saying that she’d tell Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that his child is alive and in the care of Brad and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes), and Brad relented to help her. He made Obrecht promise that this was going to be the end of the road for the two of them, and in her own way she promised, leaving Brad frustrated.

Finally, on Thursday’s episode of General Hospital, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) sprung something big on Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). He had a meeting with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to get information about what it would entail to adopt Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab). Carly was shocked that Sonny was considering this, and Sonny explained that he just wants to make sure Dev is taken care of.

Whole Family Needs To Be On Board For Sonny Corinthos’ Plan

Carly then questioned the legality of the adoption, since Dev had fake US citizen documentation, and Diane advised that they’d have to adopt Dev using his US identity, not his real Turkish identity. Carly worried that this could lead to a lot of trouble for Sonny if Dev’s documentation were to be questioned, and she generally didn’t think it was a good idea.

But Sonny pressed, and ultimately Carly insisted that if Sonny wants to make Dev a permanent part of the family, then the whole family needs to be on board. She said that she wouldn’t say yes to the idea unless the kids were on board, and she asked Sonny if he was ready to have that conversation with the family. It certainly looks like Sonny is ready and willing to go there, as he’s become quite attached to Dev.
