General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that we’re in for a big week including an explosive threat, a devastating secret, and a shocking return. The new GH weekly promo for the week of November 4 covers a lot, so let’s get right into it! First off, Ava Jerome (Maura West) is shown in a contentious conversation with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). It looks like this conversation will take place at Shadybrook, where Ava is currently an inpatient.
As GH viewers know, Ava checked herself into the facility after she saw Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Ava’s currently convinced that her mind was playing tricks on her and that she needs professional help. But what will Jax be doing at Shadybrook with Ava? Well, it’s possible that he wants to talk to her about the portrait of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) that’s currently being held in storage at her gallery. Whatever the case, Ava’s not going to be happy with whatever Jax has to say.
In the promo, Ava seethes at Jax that he’s never going to take advantage of her, but little does she know that Jax knows that Nikolas is really alive. One wonders whether Jax will tell Ava about Nikolas, but it’s probably doubtful since Nikolas is shown saying that he doesn’t want his mother Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to know that he’s alive. If Laura can’t know about him, then it looks like he’ll have to keep his existence from Ava, too.
That means that Ava will likely stay in Shadybrook for a while, which the promo also suggests since it shows Ava sleeping in a hospital/facility type bed. As for Nikolas, he’s shown in a close call with Laura showing up at Jax’s house, where Nikolas will be staying. Mother and son will be on either side of the door, with Laura having no idea that Nikolas is there. It’s a huge secret that Nikolas will be keeping from his mother, but why will he want to hide his existence from her?
Next, the promo shows Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and Julian Jerome (William deVry) in a tense situation. Julian appears to be threatening Brad again – as GH viewers know, Julian is now on a mission to eliminate Brad from Lucas Jones’ (Ryan Carnes) life. Julian has had enough of Brad’s nerves and carrying on about Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson), and he’s determined to cause Lucas and Brad to divorce. That’s why Julian sent “anonymous” flowers to Brad and had an actor send him nude pictures.
In the promo, Julian tells Brad that the sooner he’s gone, the better, and Julian looks like he means business as he gets in Brad’s face menacingly. But just how far will Julian go? Would he actually “eliminate” Brad for good and totally get rid of the problem?
Finally, the promo addresses a shocking return and shows Ava waking up in Shadybrook with a startle, then a hand grabbing someone’s ankle as they walk past a bed. Could someone be surprising Ava at Shadybrook? It looks like it’s probably someone grabbing Ava’s ankle, but who would be at Shadybrook along with Ava at this point?
Of course, the promo could be referring to Nikolas’ shocking return here and faking viewers out with the ankle grab, or it could be that Ava will get a big surprise. The promo then cuts quickly to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) outside in the park with Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) where the two are doing some sort of community service detail for the prison.
Cassandra tells Sam, “Oh sweetie, you have no idea,” so it looks like Cassandra will still be trying to wield her power and start bullying Sam as the week goes by. As GH viewers know, Cassandra is Sam’s cellmate and she was sure to assert her authority over Sam in their first few moments together. Cassandra’s armed with a knife, so Sam’s got to tread carefully here.
