General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) has been feeling quite conflicted lately. She loves Julian Jerome (William deVry) and is planning to move to Manhattan with him, but recent developments in her life are giving her serious pause. As GH viewers know, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) is now walking around with Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) pre-2012 memories, and as Drew he’s been hotly pursuing Kim.
That’s got Kim all tied up in knots. She clearly feels something for Drew, and she tends to see Franco as Drew, and not as Franco. She even called him Drew while arguing with him over a kiss that they shared, which was a big moment for both of them. There’s definitely a part of Kim that’s very attracted to this Franco version of Drew, and he knows it, and it’s making Kim’s life pretty difficult right now.
Of course, Kim knows that Franco is a married man, and he’s married to her good friend Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Intellectually, Kim knows that Franco is Franco, and that he doesn’t belong to her in any way, but emotionally Kim’s finding it very difficult to get past the fact that Franco seems just like the Drew she used to know. And that’s why she has momentarily fallen under his spell on a couple of occasions and shared some passionate kisses.
But will things go farther than just a couple kisses for Kim and Franco? It certainly seems that the Franco version of Drew wants to pick his relationship back up with Kim right where they left off before he was deployed. And if he keeps pursuing Kim, it’s probably going to be very difficult for her to resist him, especially when things get charged between the two. Of course, it doesn’t help that Kim and Julian’s plans to leave Port Charles have been delayed, which will almost surely result in Kim and Franco encountering each other again.
As GH viewers know, all of this is happening at a time of great vulnerability for Kim. She recently spoke with a therapist who’s been helping her with her issues stemming from Oscar Nero Quartermaine’s (Garren Stitt) death and her terrible decision to drug the real Drew and try to get pregnant by him on The Haunted Star. This really wasn’t a good time for Kim to encounter the Franco version of Drew who’s intent on pursuing her.
What if Kim goes down the baby path again and realizes that she could use Franco and his current state of mind in order to get pregnant? It’s possible, although Kim seems like she’s gotten past the need to trick someone into becoming pregnant. In fact, the way things are going now, it seems that the Franco version of Drew could be the one to put the heavy moves on Kim. And what if he does? Would Kim actually give in and sleep with him?
GH buzz says she might, especially if she were to be alone with Franco and caught up in old memories and feelings. And if that happens, there would probably be a good chance that Kim could wind up pregnant with Franco’s baby – and what a complicated situation that would be! Technically, she’d have slept with Drew, but biologically, the baby would be Franco’s. It makes one’s head swim thinking about it!
And the ramifications that a baby development of this sort would have on everyone would be profound. Both Elizabeth and Julian would be horrified and feel terribly betrayed by Kim. And Franco, assuming that he eventually gets his memories back, would probably feel totally violated by Kim. And this isn’t even scratching the surface on what Elizabeth’s kids, especially Cameron Webber (William Lipton), would feel about the whole thing.
