Tonight on CBS their reboot of the classic series Magnum P.I. premieres with an all-new Monday, February 18, 2019, episode and we have your Magnum P.I. recap below. On tonight’s Magnum P.I. season 1 episode 15, “Day The Past Came Back,” as per the CBS synopsis, “After Magnum is kidnapped, he discovers that Hannah, Magnum’s ex who landed him and his friends in the POW camp, is on the island and planning to steal a fortune in gold.”

TC and Rick dance and sing in the kitchen making sandwiches when Higgins and Kamu come in. They are all waiting for Magnum to arrive to go to a veteran’s event. Rick gets a call that the Ferrari was found.
They all head down to see the car. Magnum is missing and so is his gun. There is also blood in the car. They call Katsumoto to help. Meanwhile, Magnum is tied and gagged in an unknown room.
Higgins and the gang look through phone records, bank accounts and more and come up with nothing. Meanwhile, two men drive Magnum out in the middle of the ocean. They heard there was gold out there still and they need him to help.
Magnum calls the gang. He is on the pier injured. They rush to meet him. Magnum is injured but all right. He managed to take out one guy but the other got away. Magnum calls in a favor from a former friend in the military. Josie arrives at the house and tells Magnum and Higgins that the two men are former CIA agents who work for Hannah. Magnum is taken aback. He thought she was dead. When he is alone he recalls their former romantic relationship with sadness.
TC and Rick get the word about Hannah and make a pact to help take her down. Meanwhile, Higgins also helps Magnum solve the case with some of her British charms to get a number they need.
In the car, Magnum tells Higgins about who Hannah is. He was going to propose until he saw her for what she really was, someone who knew about his mission that led him to become a POW. She gave him up and he has never been able to confront her about it.
Higgins and Magnum arrive at the pier to find his captor dead in a boat. He was shot and left for dead. Magnum calls Katsumoto to give him a heads up. Magnum thinks Hannah killed him. meanwhile, TC and Rick manage to get the gold. Katsumoto arrives to see it. They are sad to let it go.
Magnum and Higgins take off in the car, leaving the body. Josie calls to tell him Hannah is alive and on the island. Seconds later they are driven off the road by several SUVs. Hannah and armed men get out. She knows Higgins is MI6 and she needs to talk to Magnum alone. She asks him to stand down. She is going after the gold. She takes off with her men. Magnum calls TC and Rick they need to watch out for Hannah as they transport the gold. Just then, they are attacked. Magnum and Higgins drive fast to get there.
Gunfire breaks out as Hannah’s men try to get the gold. Magnum and Higgins arrive. They help fight. Hannah jumps into the truck with the gold and takes off. Magnum jumps on the back. As Hannah drives he tries to get to her. She shoots at him. He falls out of the truck. The truck goes sideways and the gold spills out. Magnum makes his way to the truck bleeding. Hannah is gone.
At the hospital, the gang is happy to have Magnum alive. They reassure him that Hannah is going to get caught. Higgins and Magnum talk alone. He tells her he is fine, he promises. She tells him to get some rest after the two talk a bit before leaving for the night.
