The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) is going to start isolating in her grief more and more. She hasn’t been finding comfort in spending time with others, and that includes her husband Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Although Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Liam are doing their best to offer her support, she seems to be going down the path of shutting others out.
Aside from isolating, Hope is also experiencing bouts of anger. She’s understandably angry that she lost Beth Spencer, and she’s already taken it out on one person. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) brought Hope a comfort puppy as a gesture of friendship, but Hope took offense and raged at Sally. And it looks like Sally won’t be the last person that Hope lashes out at.
Unfortunately, the next person be on the receiving end of Hope’s wrath will be Liam. It’s common for couples to grieve differently, and it seems that Hope will notice that Liam isn’t grieving in the same way she is. Part of Liam’s grieving process – and a great source of comfort to him – is spending time with his daughter Kelly Spencer (Chloe Teperman and Zoe Pennington).
But it seems that Hope won’t be too understanding about the time that Liam is spending with Kelly. She’ll come to believe that Liam can’t possibly be feeling the same pain that she is, since he has a daughter who is alive and well. In her grief, she may even start to reset Kelly.
According to The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, Hope will have a major outburst in which she verbally attacks Liam, accusing him of not feeling the same pain over Beth’s death that she is. She’ll accuse him of being unable to understand her pain since he has Kelly. Liam will be shocked and probably won’t know how to handle the situation.
Of course, since Hope’s deep in grief, there’s probably nothing that Liam will be able to say or do that will placate Hope. His first instinct will probably be to respond with love and kindness, but this might make Hope think that he’s patronizing her. It will probably be a bad scene.
Could this be the beginning of the end for Hope and Liam? Certainly, if Hope makes Kelly an issue in their marriage, then it may be an impossible problem to remedy. Liam’s obviously not going to stop spending time with his daughter, and he will probably feel like he shouldn’t have to apologize for having a relationship with her that comforts him in his grief.
