The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that some fans aren’t happy about Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) interest in Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). She recently lamented the loss of the beautiful family they could’ve had together.
Steffy took a cue from Liam’s reaction and wondered if it was still possible. Liam’s waffling nature is once again becoming a crucial part of the story.
When Liam reunited with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) after the baby swap revelation, many B&B fans were pleased that Steffy was free. Now The Bold and the Beautiful is reigniting this familiar love triangle, so that’s sparked some strong reactions on social media. Some viewers are speaking out about their disdain for this story direction.
Annoyed Fans Weighed In On A Possible Steam Reunion
“Seriously, Steffy?” asked one annoyed B&B watcher. Another fan said, “Steffy is not really asking Liam to come back, is she…Steffy is wayyyyyy too good and strong to ASK Liam to come back. Smh.” One more viewer argued that “the waffler is back and as usual making empty promises to Steffy and Steffy is looking like a fool as well.”
Of course, Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell has addressed his penchant for love triangles in interviews before. He feels like it’s a model that works well for the show. However, it’s worth mentioning that B&B got far higher ratings by doing something different.
The baby swap story built to a revelation that smashed records in terms of viewership. Maybe doing the same triangles over and over isn’t the right strategy.
Liam Spencer Could Find Himself Torn Over The Women Again
On the other hand, it’s a way to keep Liam, Steffy and Hope in another big storyline. Those three characters seem to bring out some passionate responses, and passion can be a good thing – even if it involves disapproval! That may be what the show’s counting on here.
