The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star is using real-life experience to fuel the drama. B&B fans know Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) gave birth to a baby boy earlier this year, so that’s naturally affecting her portrayal right now. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Wood talked about some advice she received from a costar and how it was spot-on.
It turns out Wood’s TV mom had a warning for her. Hunter Tylo (Taylor Hayes) felt confident that the birth of Wood’s son would help her dig deeper and explore new emotions. Wood explained, “Hunter said to me, ‘Just wait ‘till you have your baby because the love that’s going to fill you is going to open you up in your scenes even more.”
Although Wood acknowledged the heads-up and was grateful for it, she admitted she didn’t really get it. Since Wood hadn’t given birth yet, that was something she’d have to wait to verify. However, Wood eventually brought home little Rise and bonded with him. After she returned to The Bold and the Beautiful following her maternity leave, Wood’s eyes were opened to exactly what Hayes meant.
“Now, having my baby and coming back to work and driving into storyline that is so heavy, it is extremely challenging putting myself in these shoes,” Wood said. She assured B&B viewers that Steffy is happy for Hope on some level, but there’s just no way to escape the pain of losing “Phoebe Forrester” aka Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez). There are so many emotions going on.
“Needless to say, when you see those tears come, that’s all real,” Wood admitted. “There was no forcing that!” Alas, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say there are many more tears to come for poor Steffy. She’ll be a wreck as she deals with losing her illegally adopted daughter. Handing over Beth won’t be the end of this nightmare; things will remain incredibly complicated in the weeks ahead.
