The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that the CBS soap will face a tricky situation pretty soon. They just kicked off a major storyline through Beth’s “death” and Dr. Reese Buckingham’s (Wayne Brady) obvious scheming. As time goes on, the show will have to handle an interesting speed bump.
Some viewers seem to be in denial about the idea of Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) baby being swapped with a dead one, but let’s be real: it happened. We don’t need official confirmation to tell us that.
Liam arrived after the delivery. Hope wasn’t awake for the delivery. Reese made cryptic comments to a woman who seemingly lost her child. The puzzle pieces are all right there.
When you add in Reese’s desperate need for money and Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) out-of-the-blue adoption plan, it becomes very clear where this story is headed. If you’re a true soap fan, this isn’t your first rodeo. You can see the writing on the wall, too. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy will likely find herself adopting Beth to raise as her own.
Of course, this presents an interesting dilemma – and we’re not just talking about the fact that Steffy’s “baby daddy” is the real father. We also can’t ignore the real-life predicament of Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s maternity leave. That’ll be coming up soon and will mean about 3 weeks off camera (Wood filmed an extra 5 weeks of shows in advance), but Wood is currently gearing up for her part in a huge story. What will B&B do about that?
Perhaps there’s an easy way to handle Steffy’s absence. Hope and Liam will be grieving over Beth’s “death” for quite some time. Maybe Steffy will decide that if she’s going to go through with this adoption, it’d be better to be away from Los Angeles for a while. She may try to be sensitive to Liam and Hope’s feelings by bonding with her new little girl somewhere else.
Liam probably won’t want to hold Steffy back from having the family she wants. At the same time, he’ll want to protect Hope’s fragile heart. Liam might agree to travel back and forth to visit Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington) for a while. He could agree that this is the best solution for all of them right now.
Whatever the case, The Bold and the Beautiful will need some sort of explanation when Steffy suddenly drops off the map. Will they send Steffy elsewhere to expand her family without the worry of hurting Hope? We’ll give you updates as other B&B news comes in.
