The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) desperation over Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) acceptance of Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) marriage proposal isn’t respectful of Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) feelings. Liam’s pledge of love for Hope establishes a familiar scenario.
Liam famously left Steffy and returned to Hope last summer. That decision didn’t come on his own accord, instead Steffy literally told him to do so.
Wood’s character became disillusioned with Liam’s continued inability to fully commit to her. Steam cracked after Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) became obsessed with Steffy and then both spent romantic time together. That situation led to Liam’s contempt and turn back to Hope, ending that edition of Steam.
Hope Logan’s Overwhelming Grief Has Been Subsiding
A baby soon followed with Lope back together. What should have been a wonderful time in the couple’s life developed into perceived tragedy, which is actually a travesty of justice.
Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) and Flo Fulton Logan (Katrina Bowden), Hope’s newly recognized cousin no less, conspired to steal Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) from Lope and sell her to Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) and Steffy for a quarter million dollars. The scheme allowed Reese to fulfill his gambling debt and netted Flo an unrequested, but accepted, fifty thousand dollars.
The grief Hope has been overwhelmed by has been subsiding, but through unhealthy means. The bond she’s developed with Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) is positive, but is being fully manipulated by Thomas.
Beth Reveal Will Create An Opportunity For Lope To Reunite
The most recent outrageous act Thomas pulled had Douglas propose for him to Hope. She didn’t instantly accept, but was persuaded to do so later. Her choice reflects a fated view of reality where Hope feels it best that she become Douglas’ mother, while Liam help Steffy raise Phoebe Forrester, who remains masked, and Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington and Allison Marcia Sweeney).
Hope knew that it was likely that Liam and Steffy could also restart their own relationship. But she was put off by how rapidly that happened, not knowing, like Liam, that Thomas engineered the swift outcome.
While Liam’s feelings for Hope are real, as is her ongoing bond to him, both people have come to believe that their lives are forever altered, when they’re not. The Beth reveal will create an opportunity for Lope to reunite, though that projection can’t be made with any certainty.
So, Steffy seems likely to be slighted again. There’s Liam, pining for Hope while living with Steffy, just as he was doing a year ago. If history repeats, he’ll linger and allow Wood’s character to tell him what to do once more.
