The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that fans are still reeling from Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) shocking death. B&B made the decision to kill the offscreen character, so some viewers are livid and others don’t mind as long as a solid story comes out of it. Time will tell if the choice was worth it, but it’s certainly a tough blow for now.
Of course, everyone’s been wondering how Caroline’s portrayer feels about this move. Linsey Godfrey spoke out on Caroline’s passing through a message on her Instagram account. “It appears it’s time to say goodbye to our Caroline Spencer,” Godfrey said. She assured fans that she loved her time at B&B and is so grateful to have played “the wacky, feisty, sassy Caroline.”
It seems Godfrey wanted to make it clear that there are no hard feelings. Some viewers out there think it was a bit petty of The Bold and the Beautiful to kill Caroline off. Godfrey has a contract on Days of Our Lives, which is fantastic since B&B wrote her out.
It’s always nice when a soap star can find another soap home, but it’s a shame they had to permanently eliminate any chance of Caroline’s return. Who knows what might’ve happened in the future? Nevertheless, Godfrey doesn’t want Bold and the Beautiful watchers to be too bummed. She feels confident some interesting story developments are headed our way.
Godfrey said, “Don’t be sad, even though she is gone, I promise Brad and the writers have some awesome drama up their sleeves for you! Thank you for all your love and support over the years!” Godfrey wrapped up her post by pointing out that you can always switch over to DOOL and catch Caroline’s “brunette doctor doppelganger.” She’s doing a great job as Sarah Horton in Salem.
It was awfully sweet of Godfrey to weigh in with this kind response. Saying something harsh or even just remaining silent might’ve riled up fans even more, but she did her best to help her former employer out. Godfrey’s keeping it classy!
