The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers update for Monday, September 9, tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will face his sister’s wrath. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has been suffering ever since she was forced to give Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) her daughter back. Thomas didn’t put the baby swap plot in motion, but he certainly let it drag on.
Steffy will be relieved to know Thomas will make a full recovery after his cliff fall. However, that doesn’t excuse Thomas’ behavior. He kept the truth about “Phoebe Forrester” aka Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) under wraps, which prolonged Hope’s pain and set Steffy up for more heartache. Steffy had longer to bond with “Phoebe,” so she felt more and more like Beth’s true mom.
Of course, Steffy will hate what Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) went through as well. Although Liam connected with his little girl as “Phoebe,” he still had to endure the nightmare of Beth’s “death.” Steffy also watched Hope grieve, so she knows how rough this was on Beth’s parents. Now Steffy’s battling sorrow of her own, so she’ll rip into Thomas for the mess he was part of.
Thomas will understand why Steffy is angry, but he may suggest he was trying to protect her. He might point out that he really thought they could both have it all. Thomas wanted a family with Hope and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), and he thought Steffy could have one with Liam, “Phoebe” and Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington), too.
It was a horrible take on the situation, but Thomas may argue that he didn’t want to break Steffy’s heart. Nevertheless, there’s no doubt that Thomas’ motives were primarily selfish. His priority was making Hope his wife and winning her over by any means necessary. Steffy definitely won’t let Thomas explain away his actions in Monday’s episode. She’ll make it clear that what Thomas did was appalling.
Other Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will end up with a dilemma. It’ll be good in some ways and bad in others. Ridge will hold Thomas’ fate in his hands, but his son’s future will be linked to Florence “Flo” Fulton’s. He’ll have the power to save Thomas from consequences, but it’ll mean Flo won’t face any either.
B&B fans can expect Ridge to wrestle with this terrible choice. He won’t want Flo to avoid punishment, but what else can he do? Ridge won’t let Thomas go to prison, so that means it’ll be Flo’s lucky day soon.
