The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Dr. Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) will be eager to hear Dr. Reese Buckingham’s (Wayne Brady) story. If somebody just randomly pulls out a baby, you’re going to want to know where it came from! Taylor is certainly curious, so Reese will answer any questions she might have. He’ll be prepared to say all the right things and keep Taylor’s trust intact.
Reese will likely claim that the mother abandoned this child at the clinic, which obviously isn’t the case. He’ll even rope an old friend, Florence aka “Flo” (Katrina Bowden), into his plan. The casino worker has done some adoption deals before, presumably illegal ones to make some fast money.
It won’t be long until everything’s all set and Taylor has convinced Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to adopt this kid. Of course, we can’t help but point out the obvious here. Why in the world wouldn’t Taylor suspect that this could be Beth Spencer? She’s found it easy to trust Reese, but come on!
Taylor barely knows this man and he’s been a guilty mess ever since he came back from Catalina Island. As soon as Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) said goodbye to their baby, Reese just so happened to have one. This isn’t rocket science. Common sense should tell Taylor to take a closer look at the situation, but she’ll think this is all perfectly reasonable.
With that in mind, we have to ask a crucial question. Is gullible Taylor to blame for Hope and Liam’s suffering? She’ll play a huge part in making this adoption happen. In addition to convincing Steffy Forrester to go through with it, Taylor will likely cough up all the cash.
If Reese seeks the $200,000 he needs, that should really be a red flag, too. Unfortunately, it probably won’t be. Again, Taylor is putting all her faith in someone who’s practically a stranger. Why wouldn’t some part of her stop and truly think about this?
The simple answer is that The Bold and the Beautiful couldn’t do the story if Taylor applied any kind of logic. The more complex answer might be that Taylor’s seeing what she wants to see. She’ll hope to help Steffy complete her ideal B&B family, so that should cloud her judgment.
