The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) will have to find a way forward. She’s been through a nightmare thanks to this whole ordeal with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and his presumed death. Thomas let Hope believe he was gone forever because he wanted to prove a point. He hoped to show Hope that even good people keep secrets – just like he did when he hid the truth about Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez).
Of course, whether Thomas is a good person or not is up for debate. He didn’t seem like a good person when he was smirking above Emma Barber’s (Nia Barber) dead body at the crash site! Thomas didn’t seem like a good person all those times he lied and manipulated Hope through Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) either. We also can’t forget Thomas drugged Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), which led to Liam sleeping with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
However, the truth of the matter is that Thomas needs help. He could probably use some meds and therapy to work through this Hope obsession. Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) really haven’t handled this situation correctly.
We’ve got Brooke, who’s been trying to write Thomas off as a dangerous lost cause. Ridge has been in denial about the extent of his son’s issues – at least he was until he found out about Thomas’ latest round of bad behavior. Thomas honestly doesn’t seem like a bad guy at heart though. He seems like someone who’s got a mental illness that drives him to make poor decisions.
Unfortunately, there are no Bold and the Beautiful spoilers about Thomas getting the help he needs. With that in mind, B&B can either have Thomas settle down on his own or just let his problems linger. Perhaps they’ll compromise by having Thomas remain a tad crazy – but without resorting to that truly twisted side that sometimes comes out.
Naturally, we could still see Thomas battle the darkness within. Watching Thomas struggle to fight his old habits and have a real breakthrough could actually be a great storyline. It’d be the perfect way to set Hope and Thomas up as a viable pairing. If Hope could start to see the good in Thomas again and have faith in him, Thomas could learn from his mistakes.
Do you think a new beginning is in store for Thomas? Will Hope give Thomas a real chance to prove he can change? It seems reasonable based on Hope’s personality and Thomas’ persistence. Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) is bound to think Hope’s out of her mind if this turns into a real romance – B&B buzz is that Brooke will do her best to undermine Ridge’s son! Nevertheless, the heart wants what it wants – and it often wants pretty wild things on a soap – this means ‘Thope’ is a real possibility.
