The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Thursday, December 26, tease that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) continued their conversation in the Forrester CEO office. Brooke stated that they were on the same page as far as the plan with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) spying on Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was concerned, but Steffy sharply disagreed.
Steffy said that she loved Thomas and wants to trust him, and that’s why she’s doing this. Still, she agreed with Brooke that they needed to know whether Thomas is getting better or if he’s still fixated on Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). Brooke insisted that she doesn’t have a vendetta against Thomas, but that she just wants to protect her daughter, and that she’d never let him hurt Hope again.
Later, Steffy met with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and offered some critical feedback on one of Sally’s designs. Sally wondered how Thomas had convinced Hope to work with him, and Steffy noted that it was a complicated relationship. She also stated that her brother wanted to show her up, and that she wasn’t losing the fashion showdown to Thomas.
Meanwhile, in the Forrester design office, Thomas told Hope that he needed her to be confident in him and that he was a changed man. As Zoe watched intently, Thomas showed Hope a sketch of a design, which Hope loved. Thomas told Hope that they were going to crush this fashion showdown, and Zoe decided to leave them to their work. Before she left, Thomas asked if he could see her tonight and planted a big kiss on her, right in front of Hope.
At Spencer Publications, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) filled in Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) about how his plan with Zoe was going. Liam said it wasn’t really “going” yet, although Thomas’ plan certainly was. Wyatt then learned that Thomas was designing for Hope and that Zoe and Thomas were dating.
Wyatt wondered if Liam trusted Zoe now that she was dating Thomas, and Liam said that Zoe was his only option and his only access into Thomas’ brain. Besides, Liam reasoned that if Zoe’s interested in Thomas, then she has incentive to know what he’s up to as well. Wyatt thought that this whole situation must be hard on Steffy, but Liam said that Steffy was on board and could handle it.
Later, Brooke showed up to see Liam and wondered why he didn’t tell her about the plan with Zoe. Liam apologized but said that he thought it was best to keep the plan as quiet as possible. Brooke expressed impatience and wondered how long it would take Zoe to find evidence of Thomas’ instability and obsession with Hope. Liam said that it might take time, which Brooke didn’t like.
Brooke then went on about Thomas being dangerous and not wanting Hope to keep working with him on Hope For The Future, and about how Thomas had destroyed her marriage to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). Liam assured Brooke that Hope hasn’t forgotten what Thomas did, and they recalled how dangerous Thomas has been in the past. Brooke said that her blood runs cold thinking that Thomas and Hope are working together.
Back in the Forrester design office, Hope scrutinized a design sample that Thomas had produced, with the model commenting to an uncomfortable Hope that Thomas was both talented and good looking. Thomas then brought Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) in to surprise Hope. Douglas was happy to see his mommy and daddy smiling and working together.
The three talked a bit about Douglas someday joining the family business, but Douglas cutely stated that he liked drawing animals better than dresses. Hope and Thomas assured Douglas that no matter what he ended up doing, they’d love him forever and that they’d always be a family. Douglas hugged Hope, and with Hope’s permission, Thomas moved in for a group hug.
