The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Thursday, January 3, tease that Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) intense labor will continue in the remote clinic on Catalina Island. Dr. Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) has tried his best to get more staff to the clinic to help with the delivery, but the inclement conditions are making it impossible for others to reach the clinic. It’s just Hope and Reese alone.
Of course, it doesn’t help matters that the power has gone out at the clinic due to the storm. It’s certainly not the ideal conditions under which to give birth to a baby, especially since the baby is coming a few weeks early. Hope would certainly feel better if she were in the comforts of her regular hospital back in Los Angeles.
But thankfully Reese is there, and he’s a trained OB-GYN. He’s delivered many babies and should have no problems with the delivery. However, he does have a serious gambling problem, and he’s in the hole for $200,000. His debtors are hot on his trail, too, and he needs to pay his debt and fast.
In the midst of the storm and Hope’s delivery, Reese will get a threatening text message that promises to alter the course of events. The text will demand that Reese pay up or else something terrible will happen to his daughter, Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). This will put Reese in a terrible position, and it may make him do something drastic to cover his debt.
Meanwhile, on the new B&B episode on Thursday, January 3, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will do his best to get to Catalina Island. He’s been grounded in Long Beach for what seems like an eternity, but finally he thought to call Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and ask for the use of the Spencer helicopter.
The chopper will finally get to Liam, pick him up, and start the harrowing journey to Catalina Island. The only thing on Liam’s mind will be getting to Hope and baby Beth Spencer, so he’ll bravely battle the weather on board the chopper. It should be a bumpy flight!
Of course, once Liam lands on Catalina Island, he’ll still have to brave the fallen trees and debris to get to Hope at the clinic. Will he make it there in time for Beth’s birth?
