The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) will require some very special medical treatment. As B&B viewers know, Katie was diagnosed with kidney failure after collapsing at home, and her prognosis doesn’t look good.
Both of her kidneys are in complete failure, and time will be of the essence in finding her an organ donor. Katie’s situation is complicated by the fact that she has a donor heart, and now she needs a donor kidney to survive.
Thus far, Katie has been treated by Dr. Jordan Armstrong (Vincent Irizarry) at the hospital. But soon he’ll be calling in a specialist to assist with her care – Dr. Davis, who will be portrayed by actress Tisha Campbell. Dr. Davis will appear on the episode appearing on Friday, October 4 and should have updates for Katie and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) about Katie’s condition.
Prognosis For Kate Logan Is Not Good – She Needs A Kidney ASAP
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the news for Katie will be good. As B&B viewers know, Katie’s sisters, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), and Bill have all been tested as possible kidney donors for Katie, but it doesn’t appear that any of them have been a match. It looks like all possibilities for a donor will be exhausted among the people Katie loves, and that may lead them to a nationwide search.
Of course, there could be some serious problems with a nationwide search. First off, searches take a great deal of time, and it looks like Dr. Davis will let it be known that time isn’t a luxury that Katie has right now.
Apparently, she’s going to need a kidney asap, as her body’s ability to withstand ongoing kidney dialysis will be compromised, most likely from her status as a heart recipient. It will be a dire situation, and time will be of the essence.
Dr. Davis Will Push The Family To Expand Their Donor Search
Perhaps Dr. Davis will push Katie and her family to expand their search for a donor among their extended family and acquaintances. People at Forrester Creations and Spencer Publications will probably be tested as things start to get desperate.
B&B spoilers are pointing to Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) ultimately being the donor who saves Kate’s life, so perhaps Dr. Davis will press Katie and Bill to consider even people they don’t particularly want to associate with – which would certainly be the case with Flo.
