The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 27, reveal that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) met with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) at the Forrester mansion about Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) adoption. Carter had examined the paperwork and advised the whole thing was on the up-and-up, and that he didn’t advise challenging the adoption.
Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) then arrived and spoke with Ridge at length. Ridge revealed that he and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) had split, and he expressed his dismay over the situation, explaining that Brooke was the love of his life, but that he needed to move on. It was tough for Shauna to hear Ridge say that no one could ever compare to Brooke in his eyes, and she decided to leave.
However, Ridge asked her to stay, saying that he’s been enjoying her company and their innocent (and not so innocent) flirtation. The two then sat down for coffee and Ridge let Shauna know how happy he was to have met her, and that he was sorry about talking to her about Brooke in the way that he did. He praised Shauna’s wild spirit and said that he was glad for the light she brought into his life. The two then kissed.
Meanwhile, Brooke chatted with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) in the cabin. She proceeded to complain about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), and then Hope noticed that something seemed to be bothering her mother. Brooke told Hope about Ridge saying goodbye the night before. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) then walked in, having forgot something before heading to his first day at Spencer Publications.
Brooke then told both Hope and Liam that Ridge had walked out on her the night before, and they both offered her comfort. Liam assumed that this occurred because Brooke and Ridge didn’t see eye-to-eye on Thomas, and Hope then stated that she needed to talk with Liam about something important. Brooke left, then Hope told Liam about her recent ordeal with Thomas.
Liam was stunned by the story about Thomas and the acid, and by the fact that Hope kept the secret for a full day without telling him. Liam was peeved when he learned that Thomas wanted to teach Hope a lesson by staying away for 24 hours, and he said that Thomas was again being manipulative. Liam stated that Thomas wasn’t a good guy who did a bad thing; he was just a bad guy.
Liam thought that Thomas agreed to the adoption simply because he wanted to be tied to Hope forever, prompting Hope to point out that Liam was tied to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) forever. That didn’t seem to sit well with Liam and ultimately Liam stressed to Hope that she could have told him what was going on, and that she didn’t need to be afraid to tell him anything.
Finally, Steffy was glad to see Thomas arrive to work at Forrester Creations. She told him that he was just the man she was looking for, and that she wanted to pick his brains about some designs that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) had done for a new line. The two seemed to playfully spar, and Steffy noted that she was taking baby steps back to getting along with him again.
The two talked about how Thomas had faked his death, and Steffy expressed disbelief that Hope and Brooke knew about his “death” but didn’t come forward. Thomas said that they now realize that good people can make bad decisions. Still, Steffy was shocked that Thomas had agreed to share custody with Hope, and Thomas remarked that it would be even easier if he and Hope were together.
Steffy then gave Thomas some food for thought. She remarked that Thomas does have one thing going for him when it comes to being with Hope, and that’s that the family that Liam is dreaming of with Hope doesn’t include Douglas. That prompted a mischievous smile from Thomas and clearly got him thinking.
