The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers for the week of September 23-27 tease that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) will be in a fight for her life. B&B fans know Katie’s been battling some back pain and fatigue lately. She just collapsed, so that’ll kick off a rough week for Katie, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Will Spencer (Finnegan George) and the Logan family.
Bill will be a nervous wreck as he awaits updates on Katie’s condition. He’ll hope for the best and prepare for the worst, but the worst will be what hits. Dr. Jordan Armstrong (Vincent Irizarry) will run some tests and determine that Katie’s experiencing kidney failure. Neither kidney will be functioning well enough for Katie survive without a transplant.
It turns out Katie’s heart meds and antirejection drugs have led to this issue. Katie thought she was in good health all things considered. This problem slipped under her radar and now it’s quite dire. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Bill will have plenty of questions along with Katie’s other loved ones.
Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) will contend there must be something they can do. Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) will also be devastated as she begs Katie to come back to them. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will be on hand to rally around Katie, too. Unfortunately, the situation will indeed be life-threatening. The news will really strike a blow for Bill as he realizes he could lose Katie forever.
To make matters worse, Katie’s suppressed immune system means she won’t be a great candidate for dialysis. That could’ve bought Katie some time, but it just won’t be the best option for her. What Katie will need is a kidney donor, and we have a pretty good idea of who will step up. This whole storyline seems like a chance for Florence “Flo” Fulton (Katrina Bowden) to play the hero and earn redemption.
However, Katie’s outcome will remain bleak for now. Bill will get choked up as he gazes at Katie by her bedside. He’ll insist it can’t end this way, and we thankfully know it won’t. Katie isn’t going anywhere, so it’s just a matter of time until she gets the kidney transplant she needs.
Will Flo be the one to offer this gift? Will she save Katie just like Flo’s father, Storm Logan (William deVry), did when he gave Katie his heart?
