Judges Comments: John: “You tone is so interesting and beautiful, you make such excellent choices with ever note you song. It has nuance, the fact that you are 18 is amazing.” Adam: “It hurt me to have to block John but that is a testament to you. I think you might be my favorite singer from 16 seasons on the show. There is a raw soul that is missing right now, your hand is drawn to that. It took me four seconds to turn around.” Blake: “Every muscle in your body is creating that sound, tyring to get that tone out of there. You have the ability to separate yourself from everybody, congratulations.” Kelly: “You are so talented, you are natural born story teller, very cool man.”

Domenic chooses Team Adam.

Savannah Brister – 17 – Memphis TN – singing Don’t You Worry Bout a Thing by Stevie Wonder

John turns, Kelly turns.

Judges Comments: Kelly: “That was disrespect to not turn around. Your runs were incredible, I just had to turn around because I think you are that talented. I would love for you to be on my team and conquer this competition.” John: “Savannah I turned around quickly, I love your voice, I just felt the energy and I knew I would be in love with the whole performance, you did not let me down at all.” Adam: “I think you should go with John.”

Savannah chooses Team John

The Bundys (Trio) – singing Closer to Fine by Indigo Girls

Kelly turns, Blake turns

Judges Comments: Adam: “First time ever three people on the stage. Beautiful harmonies, great rendition, I’m kind of sad that I didn’t turn around.” John: “Your town is gorgeous, you sounded great.” Kelly: “The best thing about a trio is know when to back off and blend, and you did a really good job.” Blake: “I turned around, I saw a trio and I thought oh no, then it was oh yes. This country harmony you can only have with siblings, let me be a part of this historic journey.”

Klea Olson – 20 – Layton UT – singing No Roots by Alice Merton

No turns

Judges Comments: John: “I thought you did a wonderful job, you were really close, but the execution just wasn’t there.” Adam: “This is one of those situations, I think if you come back, you will have a good chance of making it through.” Kelly: “There is a fine line between freedom and holding it back.”

Hannah Kay – 18 – Magnolia TX – singing Coal Miner’s Daughter by Loretta Lynn

Kelly turns, Blake turns

Judges Comments: Kelly: “I do love the authentic country, it is missing. I get that Blake is on country radio, but I would understand if you don’t pick me.” Blake: “The truth is the old style is out there it is just not being celebrated anymore. You are the real deal.”

Julian King – 25 – Philadelphia PA – singing All Time Low by Jon Bellion

John turned and blocked Adam

Judges Comments: John: “You sang that song man, your voice is so clear, beautiful and powerful, welcome to my team.” Blake: “I’m just glad you can’t make the wrong decision.”
