The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that one down-on-his-luck Newman could be climbing to the top. Y&R fans know Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) had a rough time since he returned to town. He brought a lot of it on himself, but the Newman clan certainly didn’t help matters.
Even when Adam had amnesia, he was berated by wary family members. They never gave him a fair chance, so it’s no wonder Adam later fought back. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) dangled Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) in front of Adam only to file a restraining order against him. Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) inexplicably rejected the love of her life.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is the kind of guy who punches Adam in the park and then tells Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) that hitting someone is never the answer. Everyone’s so worried about Connor becoming like Adam, but maybe it’d be just as bad if he turned out like Nick! It’s not like any of the Newmans are great role models, but it’s a level playing field here.
Nick even accused Adam of brainwashing Connor after one night at the penthouse. Connor had already made it crystal clear that he did NOT want Nick as a fill-in dad, so no brainwashing was necessary. The kid just wants to bond with his real dad. It’s tough to blame Connor for not wanting to go back to Nick’s place right now.
Thankfully, Adam has something good in his life for once. He seems genuinely thrilled to have Connor living with him, and Connor’s doing much better as a result. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam may be poised to reunite with Chelsea as well.
It looks like she’ll land in danger thanks to Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) and this money laundering drama. That’ll give Adam the perfect opportunity to rescue Chelsea in her time of need.
Connor will definitely be rooting for his parents to get back together – and he just might get his wish. Could Adam score a win at Newman Enterprises, too? Victor handed over the reins to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), but something tells us that won’t last – especially with Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) dark side potentially returning. There have been some big hints about another risky incident brewing.
Adam may run into more trouble along the way, but his luck still seems to be turning around. Connor finally has a secure spot in Adam’s life. Adam may also end up stealing Chelsea’s heart and running Newman like Victor initially wanted, so those could be some major victories.
