The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) has a surprising dream date in mind for her character. She was asked about the topic in a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, so she was quick to share her idea for a Y&R and B&B crossover. Maitland would love for Traci to cross paths with none other than “Dollar Bill” Spencer (Don Diamont)!
Y&R viewers will recall that Diamont used to play Traci’s love interest, Brad Carlton. Traci and Brad married and divorced in the late ‘80s. They married and divorced again in the early ‘90s, so there was obviously a strong connection between them. Brad ultimately died in 2009, but Traci still thinks it’d be great to be paired up with Diamont on screen again – if only for one dreamy night.
Here’s what she had to say about Traci’s perfect date. “That would be bringing Bill Spencer over from B&B; a one-time scene where he’s visiting Genoa City and literally just bumps into Traci, who just for a second, mistakes him for Brad,” Maitland said.
It turns out Maitland’s even got Traci’s reaction all planned out. She’s put some serious thought into Traci’s special moment! Maitland suggested Traci should burst into tears before apologizing. She figured Bill would offer to buy Traci a drink at that point. Maitland thought Traci and Bill could discuss “their own lives and challenges and loneliness.”
Of course, Maitland would want the scene to end on a blissful note. “They hit it off and leave laughing about the incident and share a moment before walking away,” Maitland said. We’re certainly sold on the idea! It’d be fantastic if The Young and the Restless would bring on more Bold and the Beautiful characters for fun popups. Bill would definitely be a good one for Traci to run into.
In the meantime, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Traci will hopefully get another storyline. She recently finished her book with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so the Abbott history hunt’s over. What’s next for Traci? Will she find love or perhaps another passion project to sink her teeth into? Many Y&R fans are hoping for both! We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
