The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a special guest is set to appear on the CBS soap. Mary-Margaret Lewis will portray Doris Tillington on October 28. Doris happens to be a family friend of the Abbotts, so she’ll likely be interviewed for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) book. Perhaps Doris will share some great stories from the past along with a secret or two.
It looks like this is just a one-episode stint for now, but there’s always the possibility Jack and Traci will have some follow-up questions. If not, maybe Doris could reappear once Jack and Traci finish their project. They’ll undoubtedly have a little celebration once they complete their goal, so Doris could be part of the festivities.
Regardless, Lewis’ work certainly impressed at least one of her costars. It turns out Lewis is a pal to Maitland offscreen as well, so they must’ve a blast filming their upcoming scenes. On Twitter, Maitland responded to a fan who asked about Lewis. She wanted to know how Maitland felt about having her “real life and reel-life friend” on the show. Maitland replied, “THRILLED and she nailed it!!”
It sounds like Lewis’ appearance is something to look forward to. It’ll be interesting to hear what Doris has to say about the Abbotts and their family history. Of course, we should mention that Lewis has appeared on The Young and the Restless before, but she played a different character. Back in 1986, Lewis portrayed Nurse Evans for seven episodes, so that’s a fun tidbit.
Lewis has also done guest spots on many primetime shows over the years. Her acting credits include brief roles on ER, The X-Files, Friends, Mad Men, Blackish, Life in Pieces and more. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lewis will add to Y&R to the list once again, so tune in on October 28 and see what she shares for the Abbott family book!
