The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the fate of Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) fortune remains uncertain. Y&R fans know Devon was duped into signing over the billions he inherited from Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). He gave the money to Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), but Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) managed to steal it, hide it and go on the lam.
Of course, this is incredibly frustrating for Devon as well as Y&R viewers. That money was in good hands! Katherine wanted Devon to have it, and he’s missing out on the chance to do wonderful things for people in need. Who knows how much Colin has already blown through by now? The scoundrel is off draining a bank account somewhere while Katherine’s legacy remains completely disrespected.
Devon seems more upset about Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) than anything, but it’s not just about her face. He’s hurt by the fact that Hilary Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) lookalike was used against him. Devon can’t get over Amanda’s part in this whole scam. She was most likely just a pawn in Colin’s game, but that makes no difference to Devon – who’s clearly dealing with a lot of resurfacing grief.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Devon’s about to find himself in dangerous territory. He’s going down a bad road by digging into Amanda’s past, so Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will need a miracle this Christmas. Could that also mean things are on the verge of turning around? They say it’s always darkest before the dawn, and that’s often true on soaps.
Perhaps Devon will end up in some scenario where he has to defend Amanda. If his actions lead to her presumably abusive ex finding her, it’s easy to imagine a guilt-ridden Devon stepping up and landing in the hospital. Regardless, Devon could be the reason Nate and Elena are hoping for something miraculous this holiday season. If that happens, Devon will certainly make a full recovery.
As for the will situation, is there any resolution in sight? During the week of December 23-27, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will get some startling news. It’s possible that’ll tie in with Cane and Colin somehow. We’d love to see Devon get his fortune back as a special Christmas present to fans this year!
Since Daniel Goddard’s last episode has already aired, perhaps Cane could send word that he found Devon’s money but doesn’t intend to return home. He might opt to travel a bit more and get a better grip on his identity without Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil). Y&R could still have Cane take that route without finding Devon’s fortune, but it’d be great if he could be the one to fix this.
Whatever the case, let’s hope Y&R writers resolve everything soon. Katherine wanted Devon to have that money, so things need to be made right!
