The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Daniel Goddard (Daniel Goddard) is preparing for his exit as Cane Ashby. The Y&R star has been sharing a few posts on Instagram as his final airdate draws near, but his true goodbye is almost upon us. Goddard’s final episode should air on Thursday, November 28.
We should mention that impeachment hearings coverage threw off Y&R’s schedule a bit, but they’ll play episodes on Thanksgiving and the Friday after to catch up. Goddard didn’t take the recent preemptions into account when he wrote his exit statement, which declared November 26 his last day on The Young and the Restless. Y&R fans will still have one more chance to see Cane this Thursday, so check your local listings and keep your time zone in mind.
In the meantime, let’s look at what Goddard had to say in his departure post. When Goddard first revealed that he’d been fired from The Young and the Restless, he expressed shock and disappointment over the decision. Now that Goddard’s had time to let it sink in, he’s focused on the memories he made at Y&R and the gratitude he’ll carry with him.
“My dearest friends, I just wanted to let you know that on today’s episode of young and the restless Cane’s journey finally comes to an end,” Goddard said. “I wanted to tell you for a while that today is my last air date but I really just didn’t know how.
Goddard continued by reflecting on the start of that journey he mentioned and how much it’s meant to him. “Thirteen years ago I stepped foot onto one of televisions’s most iconic shows and for this Aussie dreamer who set out in search of something greater than himself… I suddenly felt like I was home. We had some good times didn’t we? We laughed together, cried together and loved together, but through it… we were always there for each other, because that’s what families do.”
Goddard closed his post by letting his fans know they matter a great deal to him. He also had some advice from the late Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters). “I love each and every one of you, you will never truly know how much you mean to me. So, as Kristoff would say… ‘Stay looking up!’ Always, Daniel.”
As for Cane’s final episode, The Young and the Restless spoilers say he’ll have a fierce faceoff with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Cane will deny Colin Atkinson’s (Tristan Rogers) claims that he was running the con, but Devon will seriously doubt that Cane wasn’t involved. He’ll insist that if Cane’s the mastermind, he wants him thrown behind bars.
Will Cane be revealed as innocent or guilty? Either way, there won’t be much time for closure. Y&R will rush the ending of this storyline and quickly send Cane off canvas.
