The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, April 12, tease that Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will fret about being a homewrecker. She’ll unload her problems on Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and reveal she nearly slept with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Lola will admit that Kyle stopped things, but they’re still madly in love. She’ll add that Kyle’s off filling Summer Abbott (Hunter King) in on the truth.
Rey will mention Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) and how he kept fighting when she really wanted Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela). Lola won’t think Rey should blame himself. She’ll be glad Rey’s found happiness with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and plan to get her happiness with Kyle, too.
At the Abbott mansion, Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) will use the photos her private investigator took as part of a blackmail plot. She’ll show them to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and insist Fenmore’s is the price of her silence. Phyllis will also push for seed money so she can truly have a fresh start. She’ll warn that Jabot can’t afford another scandal, so Jack had better make the right call.
Jack will fume over Phyllis’ dirty tactic and argue that she’s using her own daughter. Naturally, Phyllis will stick to her guns and count on the money to be transferred by tomorrow. Upstairs, Summer will be eager to celebrate her new job at Jabot. She’ll push for sex, but Kyle will pump the brakes.
After Phyllis exits and Kyle joins his dad, Jack will explain the blackmail situation. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will clear up what actually went down with Lola. He’ll confess that he feels a connection with Summer and is now struggling to break her heart.
Lola is the one Kyle wants, but he’ll worry that Summer won’t be able to handle losing him. Jack will argue that Kyle shouldn’t let this drag on and on. Since Phyllis is putting them in a bind, Kyle will decide to come clean about his hot night with Lola. Summer will assume they had sex, but Kyle will promise they didn’t take that step.
Y&R spoilers say Summer will be surprisingly understanding. She’ll get that this has been hard for Kyle since he still loves Lola. Summer will offer forgiveness and suggest they can move past this together. She’ll tell Kyle she won’t stop loving him before he cuddles with her in bed.
At the athletic club, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) treats Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) to a romantic night filled with dancing and kissing. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Phyllis will interrupt briefly to provide reassurance. She’ll feel confident she can come through to Lauren soon.
In a suite, Jack will show up and let Phyllis know her plan failed. He’ll note that Kyle’s going to break up with Summer, so her scheme is futile. Phyllis will suggest she can frame it differently in the press, but Jack will want her to accept defeat. After a massive outburst, Phyllis will kick Jack out of her room and destroy a mirror. She’ll look in the mirror as she assesses what she’s become.
Back with Jack, he’ll approach Lauren and vow to take their companies to the next level. Jack will fill Lauren in on what’s ahead for Fenmore’s, and she’ll like what she hears. Lauren will embrace Jack as they look to the future, so it sounds like Phyllis will have to find a new path of her own.
