The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, January 11, tease that J.T. Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) memorial service will spiral out of control. What started out as an awkward gathering to remember a terrible guy will turn into an explosive confrontation to prevent a confession. Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) will refuse to stand by and let Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) blow this.
Since Nikki might’ve opened her big mouth without someone to keep it closed, Phyllis will take one for the team. She’ll distract both Nikki and the rest of the crowd by revealing that J.T. wasn’t just an attempted murderer who wanted Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) dead. He was also an abuser who went after Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) repeatedly.
Phyllis’ revelation will earn gasps and disbelief from those who weren’t in the know. Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) will be particularly affected by this news. The Young and the Restless spoilers say he’ll call Phyllis a liar, but Victoria will gently intervene. She won’t be concerned about Phyllis or proving her right, but she’ll feel like it’s too late to protect Reed from the truth.
Victoria will admit that J.T. indeed attacked her physically on more than one occasion. She was a victim of his emotional abuse as well. J.T. was certainly one messed up individual. It won’t be what Reed wants to hear, but it’s what he needs to hear. Once Reed accepts that his father was a monster, he’ll lunge at J.T.’s portrait and rip it to shreds. He’ll end up storming out as he processes his anger.
That’ll leave Phyllis to face backlash for her actions. Victoria was already angry with Phyllis, but this will send her rage soaring to new heights. They’ll have a fierce fight right there in Victoria’s living room. Of course, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will also get involved. He’ll insist that Phyllis crossed the line by revealing a secret that wasn’t hers to tell.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will get called away for work. She’ll join Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) on a road trip as they take care of a little boy who got stuck some drug bust drama. The kid will need to be taken to his grandparents’ house, so Sharon will be there to make things easier on him.
On the way back home, the icy roads will become too difficult to navigate. Rey and Sharon will have to stop off at a motel, but there’ll only be one room left…with one bed. Y&R spoilers say Rey will sleep in a nearby chair, but that won’t stop this from being an incredibly uncomfortable night.
Sparks could fly, but Sharon and Rey really shouldn’t feel too guilt since sparks will also be flying back at Rey’s apartment. Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) could fall back into old cheating habits if they aren’t careful! We’ll give you updates as other details emerge.
