The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and recap for Friday, June 14, tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will push for honesty. At the cottage, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will worry that Rey might walk away from their romance. Rey will insist that’s not happening, but he’ll point out that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) comes first these days. He’ll want the truth about how Sharon really feels.
Sharon will admit she cares about Adam, but it’s complicated. She’ll feel guilty about helping to unleash Genoa City’s latest nightmare. However, Sharon will add that Adam seems to have gotten inside Rey’s head. Meanwhile, Adam will make plans to move into a suite later. A call from Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will come in next.
Y&R spoilers say Kevin will get riled up about Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). He’ll snap that Adam will wish he’d stayed dead if he doesn’t have Chloe back by the end of the day. Despite his previous denials, Adam will determine that Kevin’s got some guts and invite him to meet.
At Dark Horse, Kevin will do his best to threaten Adam. It won’t work since Adam will suggest he’ll fight back if Kevin follows through. Adam will admit he’s got Chloe, so Kevin will want to know she’s OK. He’ll speak with Chloe on the phone for a moment and wonder what Adam wants.
Adam will take Kevin up on the exchange since Phyllis Summers (soon-to-be Michelle Stafford) shouldn’t have gotten involved at all. He’ll add a threat to Chloe’s life saying that it’ll be the last thing she does if he’s targeted again.
Kevin will insist it’s a deal, but Adam will have one more demand. He’ll need Kevin to stick around and make himself useful. Adam will declare that he owns Kevin now, so Kevin will go along with the terms. Afterward, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will show up and demand some answers from Kevin. He’ll want to know what he’s got going on with Adam, but Kevin will stay tight-lipped.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will calm Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) down before a meeting with Ana Hamilton (Loren Lott). Once Ana arrives, she’ll learn Mariah is the head of Power Communications and Tessa is her client. Mariah will lay down some ground rules about Tessa’s image before she takes off to let them chat alone.
Tessa will hope they can resolve all the tension between them. She’ll just want to stay true to who she is and offer a genuine sound. Ana will agree to polish things up instead of pushing for a total overhaul. In exchange, she’ll want Tessa to tackle issues herself instead of letting Mariah do her dirty work. They’ll work out a deal while Mariah pays Sharon a visit and notices the friction with Rey.
After Sharon and Mariah head to Society, Mariah will mention her new job before and get the Rey details. She’ll want the scoop on Adam, so Sharon will confess he’s got unresolved feelings for her. Mariah will find out that Sharon shut down Adam’s feelings, but she’ll still worry about Sharon’s relationship. She won’t think Sharon should let Adam screw things up with Rey.
Back at the cottage, Adam will arrive and face Rey’s warning. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will insist he’s the one who has a future with Sharon. He’ll contend that Adam needs to go somewhere else and build a new life. Adam will look smug as he leaves, so it seems he’ll be pleased that he’s stirring up some jealousy. He’ll end up canceling the suite – apparently to stay near Sharon.
Mariah will return to the coffeehouse and get updates on the newfound peace. Ana, Tessa and Mariah will toast to success now they’re on the same side. Over with Sharon, she’ll reconvene with Rey and vow not to let Adam come between them. Rey will bring up Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) and the similar situation, but Sharon will argue that she’s not Mia. She’ll make it clear that she only wants Rey.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Kevin will return to Phyllis’ hiding spot. He’ll find that his hostage has made a break for it through the window. Michael will arrive soon after and contend that Kevin owes him an explanation. Y&R fans will see Phyllis’ leg as she speeds down the highway and heads for Las Vegas according to her GPS.
In Los Angeles, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will chat with a client before they’re left alone. On a roof deck, Jack will suggest maybe they should stay in LA a bit longer. Lauren will think Jack’s using this to escape reality. She’ll make him see that his life could use some changes, so he’ll promise to make them.
