The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, May 31, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will kick off a new mission. He’s been busy trying to get his family back, but the ball’s in Chelsea Newman’s (Melissa Claire Egan) court now. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) calls Chelsea for Adam and leaves a voicemail in Thursday’s Y&R episode. That could leave Adam waiting for a while.
Fortunately, there’ll be plenty for Adam to do in the meantime. Chelsea will hopefully get back to Sharon sooner or later, but Adam will hope to track someone else down on Friday. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will try to find Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Is Chloe the one who shot Adam at the tack house?
Adam went to great lengths to keep the real story quiet. He got his secret partner to find him a fall guy, who ultimately walked right into the police station and confessed. However, Adam admitted he knew exactly who shot him and wanted to handle it himself. If it was Chloe, Adam may not be feeling all that vengeful. He probably would’ve just ratted Chloe out if that were the case.
Chloe wasn’t in her right mind at the time of the explosion. If she found out Adam is alive and snapped again, she’s still not in her right mind. Adam may understand that grief drove Chloe to this point. Of course, Adam can’t let Chloe keep coming after him, so he may have other plans for how to deal with the problem.
On the other hand, Chloe may not be the shooter at all. Adam may just think they have unfinished business from the last time around. Regardless, it sounds like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may admit Chloe isn’t dead and potentially advise against contacting her. Victor would rather keep Adam focused on all things Newman, but Adam will seek out Chloe anyway.
While Adam’s hunt heats up, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will struggle with his dreams. He’s enjoying his new romance with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), but Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) is never far from his thoughts. Devon will have a hard time moving forward due to his rich history with Hilary. She was the love of his life, so letting her will continue to be a long and difficult process.
