The Young and the Restless spoilers has some exciting news about a popular Y&R star. Judah Mackey, who portrays Connor Newman on the CBS soap, has landed a recurring role on a promising new series for Apple TV+. Fans have been loving Judah thus far in the role of Connor, as Connor has faced both highs and lows as a result of Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) actions.
Well, now Judah will be appearing on a recurring basis on a new show called “The Morning Show,” which is a comedy/drama about the lives of those involved in America’s morning TV shows. The show’s official longline is as follows: “An inside look at the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning, exploring the unique challenges faced by the men and women who carry out this daily televised ritual.”
The pilot episode of “The Morning Show” will air on the Apple TV+ streaming service on Friday, November 1. Judah will be playing the role of “Jeff Kessler” on the show, and his younger brother Benjamin Mackey will play the role of “Teddy Kessler.”
Judah and Benjamin will be in good company, as the series stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Steve Carell, and Shari Belafonte, among others. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are also serving as executive producers on the show, and Apple has ordered two seasons of the series, so the show will have some longevity.
“The Morning Show’ will be about Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston), who runs an iconic news program with great ratings. When her partner on the show is fired due to a sexual misconduct scandal, she fights to keep her job on the show, as there’s another aspiring journalist named Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) who wants to take her place.
It sounds like a great series as well as a great experience for both Judah and Benjamin, and you can watch the trailer for the series below.
