The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) needs some relief from his soon-to-be mother-in-law Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue). Ever since Celeste arrived on the Genoa City scene, she’s been meddling in Kyle and Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) relationship. Celeste has kicked Kyle out of his own apartment, virtually ensuring that he and Lola can’t sleep together, and she knows exactly what she’s doing.
To make matters worse, she’s interfering with the wedding plans. Remember when Kyle was deemed “groomzilla” by Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes)? Well, those were the good old days before Celeste blew into their lives and caused a big upheaval. Now Kyle and Lola are getting all sorts of unsolicited input from Mama Rosales, including her wanting Lola’s dad to show up and walk Lola down the aisle.
It’s all too much for “Kola” right now, and they need a distraction form it all. Or better yet, they need to give Celeste a distraction from meddling in their lives. We think it’s about time for Kyle to take some action to get Celeste’s attention off of the wedding for a little while so that he and Lola can have some breathing room, or at least just a night to themselves at home or at the Abbott mansion.
And we can think of no better person to help them out with that quest than Kyle’s dad, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). After all, Celeste made such a big fuss over Jack when she first came to the Abbott mansion – she went on about how much more handsome he was in person than in pictures, and she really seemed to be impressed after meeting him. Why doesn’t Kyle get Jack to entertain Celeste for an evening or two?
Who knows, it could be the start of a whole new relationship for Jack and Celeste. Jack needs a romantic interest right about now. He was kind of interested in “Mallory” (Wendy Benson Landes) – the woman whose father was a patient in Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) memory facility – but that didn’t last long. Mallory’s father ended up dying and Mallory left Genoa City. Jack could use some companionship!
And from the sound of it, Celeste could use a romantic interest who is someone other than her ex-husband. Right now, she’s seeing Lola and Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) father – something that neither of her children are pleased about. It seems like it would certainly be for the better if Celeste got involved with someone new…someone just like Jack.
Perhaps Kyle will put two and two together and figure out that Jack could not only help him distract Celeste, but that Jack and Celeste could actually enjoy each other’s company in the process. Jack and Celeste come from different backgrounds, but we could see them being quite good for each other.
