The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Melissa Claire Egan’s New Hallmark Christmas Movie – ‘Holiday For Heroes’

The Young and the Restless spoilers has some great news to share about a popular Y&R star. Melissa Claire Egan, who portrays Chelsea Lawson on the CBS soap, will be starring in an upcoming Hallmark Channel Movie titled “Holiday For Heroes” that will premiere on Friday, November 8, 2019.

The movie is part of the Hallmark Channel’s “Miracles of Christmas” movie series and is about a woman named Audrey Brown (played by Melissa) and a soldier who exchange letters for a year before their worlds collide. The soldier, named Matt Evans, is played by Marc Blucas.

There’s a great “On Location” video on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries website where you can see a more extended preview and description of the movie. In short, Egan’s character Audrey owns a coffee shop with her best friend Jade.

Matt Evans And Audrey Brown Exchange Letters And Romance

She starts sending letters and coffee to First Sergeant Matt Evans, who is serving abroad. They trade letters as pen pals for a year, then one day Matt shows up in Audrey’s coffee shop.

The romance unfolds from there. Since Matt has been stationed near Audrey’s home, the two share a nice holiday love story. But it looks like there’s the possibility that Matt might once again get stationed abroad, which the couple must deal with.

“It’s been so fun to be a part of this movie because the writing is so beautiful and the love story is so beautiful,” Egan said during the on-location video.

Holidays For Heroes A Great Holiday Film With Lots Of Heart

“But it’s also so special because it deals with people in the military, people missing their families who are abroad and can’t come home for the holidays, which is heartbreaking.”

You might recognize Egan’s co-star, Marc Blucas, from his many film and TV roles. He appeared in the major motion pictures “We Were Soldiers” with Mel Gibson, as well as in “Knight and Day” with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. He also starred in the TV series “Necessary Roughness” and “Buffy The Vampire Slayer.”

“Holiday For Heroes” looks like a great holiday movie with plenty of heart. Will you be watching? Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.
