The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that one Y&R alum had a medical scare in his family. Y&R viewers recently watched Mark Grossman’s debut as Adam Newman, but many still recall Michael Muhney’s days as the popular character. Muhney keeps in touch with his fans on social media, so he filled them in on his family crisis and asked for some support.
It turns out Muhney’s mother faced some heart troubles and had to be hospitalized. She’s doing better now, but the ordeal brought some alarming moments for her concerned son. “My mom had me worried,” Muhney tweeted. “Heart issues, shortness of breath. They inserted two stents and now they say she’s gonna be okay! She’s been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.”
Muhney knew all of this was difficult on his mother, so he encouraged fans to send her heartfelt messages. Sometimes even a kind word from a stranger can lift someone’s spirits. “I’d love it if you sent @michaels_mom a nice tweet to read while she is resting,” Muhney said. Naturally, it didn’t take long for the tweets to start pouring in.
One fan wrote, “I’m glad she’s going to be ok! Tell her to take it easy and get well soon!” “Sending much love & many prayers to your mom,” said another. One more fan tweeted, “So happy to hear that Michael’s Mom is doing better, what a beautiful lady!”
After receiving so many sweet messages, Muhney’s mom replied with a smiling selfie and her gratitude. She was clearly touched by all the people who reached out. “You are a sweet son @michaelmuhney and you made my Twitter feed blow up with the most wonderful wishes from your exceptional fans,” she said. “Thanks to everyone! It means so much! And I’m fine, feeling great.”
The Young and the Restless viewers are certainly happy that things are settling down for Muhney and his mother. Let’s hope she has a speedy recovery and gets back to normal in no time. Based on her tweet, it sounds like Muhney’s mom is well on her way.
