The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, November 4 Review - Theo’s Emotional Dina Meeting - Chelsea's Desperate Search

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Monday, November 4, tease that Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) will be hanging around The Grand Phoenix making his presence known to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). That will leave Chelsea rattled to the point where she awkwardly asks Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) if she’d like to buy out her stake in the hotel. Abby will think she’s kidding, as will Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who will overhear the tail end of their exchange.

Nick will then talk with Chelsea, who will apologize for missing his press conference where he announced his candidacy for city council. Nick will ask Chelsea to join him for an interview with a reporter, which she’ll do right there in the lobby…with Simon sitting at the bar looking on. Chelsea will be a bit nervous at first, thanks to Simon, but she’ll eventually come around and help Nick ace the interview.

As Nick is walking the reporter out, Simon will approach Chelsea and tell her that she has 24 hours to get him the money that Calvin Boudreau (John Burke) owed him. Chelsea will protest and ask for a week or two, and Simon will counter that he’ll give her 48 hours. Chelsea will want to know what happens if she can’t get the money, and Simon will ominously say they’ll deal with that if the time comes.

Chelsea will then call Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and tell him that she needs his help. It’s certainly looking like Chelsea is going to have to go to some great lengths to get her hands on the cash she needs for Simon. Ongoing Y&R spoilers say that she’ll soon resort to her con-artist ways to deal with a threat, so perhaps she’ll try to round up the money through some unscrupulous dealings of her own, along with Kevin and Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) help.

Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Monday, November 4, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will face some serious attitude from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) when he shows up at Kyle and Lola Abbott’s (Sasha Calle) apartment with the results of Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) DNA test. Jack will relay that Theo is indeed Dina’s grandson, and Kyle will be horrified.

Kyle will get agitated that his father even pursued getting the DNA test and will warn his dad again about Theo. After Jack leaves, Kyle and Lola will argue about Kyle’s attitude toward Theo, whom Lola thinks is genuinely trying to be a better person. Kyle will think that Lola’s falling for Theo’s act, which will upset Lola. Ultimately, Kyle and Lola will work it out, but there will be a decent shouting match between them first.

Back at the Abbott estate, Theo will hear the news about his DNA test from Jack. Theo will be emotional, and he’ll wonder if Jack’s sorry that his long-lost nephew turned out to be him. Jack will say that he’s glad that the truth came out, but Theo will know that Kyle is displeased. Theo will then tell Jack that he’d like to meet his grandmother, since his dad never had the chance to do so.

Jack will arrange for Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) to come to the house, and Dina will get settled in with her favorite tea. Jack will introduce Theo as “Theo Vanderway” and Theo will greet Dina politely. Dina will get emotional and say, “Did you say Vanderway?” Then she’ll say, “Eric, is that you?” Theo will get a nod from Jack, then play along as if he’s his father, Eric Vanderway (John Briddell).

Dina and Theo will both be teary-eyed as Dina asks about his family and if he’s happy with his parents. Theo will say that he’s very happy, and that his parents make him feel safe and loved. Dina will then say, “I wish I’d…” and then her moment of clarity and focus will be over. She’ll announce that she’s tired, and Jack will offer to take her home. Theo will look on sadly as Jack has to remind Dina that he’s her son and his name is Jack.

Later, Jack will return home alone to find Kyle there. Kyle will apologize for his attitude earlier, but he’ll be clear with Jack that it won’t be long before Theo starts asking for things, and he won’t like hearing that Theo and Dina met. Jack will say that Kyle is going to have to find a way to accept all of this.

Finally, Theo will wind up sitting sadly at the bar at Society, where Lola will find him. She’ll ask how he’s doing with everything, and Theo will be hesitant about putting Lola in the middle of anything, but he will tell her that he met Dina. He’ll say that he didn’t know what to expect, but that he wasn’t expecting her to think he was his father. He’ll lament about feeling a connection with her that was suddenly gone when she lost clarity. He’ll remark that he thought he knew who he was, but now he’s not so sure.

One wonders exactly what it’s going to take for Kyle to ever accept Theo. Right now, Kyle’s not in a place of acceptance at all, and he’s certainly not in a place where he can even accept other people’s kind words about Theo under any circumstance. It seems that something big is going to have to happen for him to see Theo as anything other than a conniving opportunist.
