The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, October 28, teases that Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will hit another career snag. He’ll angrily disconnect from a call and let Summer Newman (Hunter King) know he lost another influencer. Theo will want a pep talk from Summer, so she’ll play along and suggest that maybe his life will change today.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will talk to Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) old high school friend. They’ll fill Doris Tillington (Mary-Margaret Lewis) in on the letter Dina wrote to Stuart Brooks and wonder if she has any info. Doris will stay tight-lipped at first, but Traci and Jack will point out that Dina may never be able to tell them the real story.
Y&R spoilers say Doris will eventually admit she knows what happened, but she won’t think Jack and Traci will like what they hear. Doris will tell them about Dina’s crush on Stuart, which she developed while working on a Hamlet presentation with him. She’ll recall Dina sneaking off with Stuart at the prom party and seeming different the next day. Doris will reveal that Dina admitted they made love that night, but it was just a one-time deal.
Jack will push Doris to divulge more, so she’ll note that Dina left for Europe soon after. Traci will pick up on the clues here and assume Dina was pregnant. Although Doris won’t have proof, she’ll think Dina changing her school plans unexpectedly points to a baby. She’ll feel like Dina was ashamed and that’s why they’ve uncovered no evidence in their search so far.
Later, Jack will find a box he remembers seeing with a Hamlet book. When Traci opens the book, The Young and the Restless spoilers say an envelope containing adoption papers will fall out. Jack and Dina will see that Dina gave birth to a boy named Eric Vanderway (Jon Briddell), so they’ll want to find their half-brother.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will catch up with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at Crimson Lights. She’ll be impressed by Nick’s decision to bring home Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but he’ll insist it was for Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) sake. Tammy Diamond (Gillian White) will appear next and once again push Nick to run for the vacant councilman seat. He’ll argue that he’s not interested, but Mariah will hope to change his mind.
At the Grand Phoenix, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will be a bit suspicious of Adam’s breakfast invite. She’ll think he seems too kind and caring right now, but Adam will point out that Connor needs both his parents. Chelsea will express her gratitude and head for the exit as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) appears. Adam will decide it’s time to hash a few things out, so a confrontation’s on the way.
After Adam admits he came home for Connor, Billy won’t really buy the family man act. Adam will needle Billy about his stint in “rehab” and wonder if he was there to deal with murderous tendencies. He’ll ultimately admit he knows Billy tried to run him down. Adam will want to know who stopped him, but Billy will avoid giving him a straight answer.
Instead, Billy will want to talk about what’s next. He’ll hope they can just move on without revenge, so Adam will suggest they should stay out of each other’s business. Of course, we’ll see how long that plan lasts! In the meantime, Nick will meet up with Chelsea and console her about Connor. He’ll feel confident the kid will want to come home sooner or later.
Chelsea will also get updates on Tammy pressuring Nick to run for city council. She’ll think Nick wants to do it, but he’ll need her support before he does. Nick will admit he has concerns about the dirt-digging that might go down. Chelsea will worry as well since he past could come back to haunt her.
At Society, Theo won’t seem too enthused about Mariah and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) arrival. They’ll join Summer and Theo, who’ll ask about Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle). Theo will wonder when Lola’s returning from her trip and will hope she’s feeling better. A baffled Mariah will wonder if Kyle and Theo are friends again, but Kyle won’t be willing to go that far. Even so, Theo will think they’re making progress.
Summer will mention an Atlanta business trip she’s taking, so Mariah will talk about their grown-up jobs and how they’ve all got one…except Theo. Perhaps Theo’s luck will turn around thanks to this apparent connection to Dina. Eric Vanderway is likely Theo’s deceased father, so more drama’s ahead. We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R news comes in. Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
