The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) death will leave many Genoa City residents in mourning. However, there’s one that will probably be hit the hardest. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) was devastated when he lost Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) last year. They had their ups and downs, but she really was the love of his life.
That’s why it’s been such a long and difficult road to healing. Devon has faced crippling anxiety and panic attacks. He’s certainly had moments where he lost control, but Ana Hamilton’s (Loren Lott) presence has helped a bit. Now that Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) around, she’s brightening Devon’s days as well. He’s finally starting to find happiness again, but it’s all about to come crashing down.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will be hit with another round of crushing grief. On April 23, he’ll get the worst news he could possibly imagine. When Devon learns Neil is dead, he’ll struggle to believe this is actually happening. Devon managed to survive losing Hilary, but he’ll feel like this is just too much. Losing Neil could put Devon over the edge and force him into his darkest place yet.
Devon will once again have to endure an emotional funeral and bury someone he loves. How will all of this affect his budding romance with Elena? It could bring them closer if Devon chooses to lean on Elena for support. However, it could also create some obstacles if Neil’s death stirs up Hilary memories. Devon could find himself dwelling on what he’s lost and push Elena away.
Of course, Devon and Elena should get on the right track eventually. Y&R clearly hired Sarpy to play Devon’s love interest, so fans will just have to be patient. In the meantime, Devon will have a wonderful support system to rely on. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) will be back in town on April 25-26. He’ll comfort Devon and hopefully get some comfort in return.
Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) will also come home after her early release from prison. She intends to live the simple life somewhere far away from Genoa City, but she’ll have to make a return for Neil’s passing. Lily will remember Neil and console Devon as best as she can. She’s had a rough time in prison, so this is the last thing she wanted to hear. Nevertheless, Lily’s concern will mostly be for Devon.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ana and Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will be there for Devon, too. He’s about to go through some unbearable pain, but he’ll get through this with his loved ones by his side. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R details emerge.
